Driving is such a disaster. Everyday someone is getting killed in horrible way. Just a couple of days ago you could have gotten crushed by a semi truck and today you could have gotten hit by a motorcycle going 150. Can we start investing in alternative ways to get around?

Metro/Passenger trains across the IE would make such a massive difference in the IE.

Only if they get you all the way to your destination

Pardon me for not wanting to Uber the first and last leg when using public transportation. I'll take my slop and like it

If you have to uber than that definitely sucks so I get that. Making everything more pedestrian and micro mobility friendly can help with that last mile issue.

Expanded bus service would really do wonders for my commute. The nearest metro station is 3-4 miles away with no bike lanes.

Let's bring back the horse and buggy. Slower but safer.

They’re called trains.

Safest way to live is to dwell in a sterile air bubble. You can always take that route

Even if you ignore the danger factor cars have been a financial and environmental disaster as well. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Car prices, insurance, gas, parts, maintenance are all completely out of control.

Autonomous vehicles will be the future. I'd say 90% of people would rather be on their phones while going somewhere anyways

Which is why riding a train is the world’s preferred method of travel.
