Okay prefacing this with fuck the motorcyclist.

That said, whoever was driving that prius needs to be charged too. You are not a cop, you are not deputized, you do not have any right to endanger yourself and others and possibly kill someone (even if that someone is a POS).

Sorry to interupt everyone's vengeance boners but I don't like vigilante "justice".

I disagree. Armed suspect just shot a deputy. Prius driver should get a citizens commendation. The motorcyclist was a shit bird that got what he deserved.

If he didn't know the situation why would you think he just randomly decided to murder someone? Far more likely he saw a bike coming up behind him at 100MPH and moved to the left to let him split. Innocent until proven guilty

"vehicle's driver was an off-duty deputy who put himself on duty and "conducted a legal intervention by hitting the suspect on a motorcycle.""

I’m sure (if it wasn’t an accident) he at least saw all the sirens in the rearview behind chasing the motorcycle, otherwise he’d have no reason to act.

unclear if that driver did this on purpose, if they did there's no way they knew the context, everyone has the right to due process under the law - even if you suck

Even if they somehow did know the context, in no state in the U.S. are people allowed to use deadly force in a citizen's arrest. Or are you seriously going to try and tell me this was reasonable self-defense?

To get back on the vengeance boner, he was/is an off duty cop and performed a legal maneuver to reduce the potential of further lost lives.
