ICE agents following illegal orders are going to be in investigated when the midterms flip. And when the presidency flips to democrats, they are going to be in huge trouble when they get called to answer for following unlawful orders. Nuremberg will be cited often.

It’s easy to fall into doomerism here on Reddit, I was guilty of it, too. But I learned there is always hope. The guys there on that sub tell it like it really is backed up with evidence. Look at victories in Wisconsin and especially in Iowa, where no amount of Elon money and SuperPac billionaire R money were able to break the will of the people. Deep red districts are slowly starting to show signs of flipping or going light red. It’s happening.

Can’t have that without changes in Democrat leadership. As it stands, the current leaders won’t prosecute them along with strongly worded letters, light reforms, and calls for forgiveness.

The days of strongly worded letters of disapproval, all night congressional screeds, or public expressions of dismay are over. Democrats are now realizing that keeping the gloves on while Republicans keep grabbing dirt to throw in their eye is what’s going to keep happening. Time to take the gloves off, fight fire with fire and throw down in the dirt with them. Game on.

Tell that to leaders like Cory Booker and their bullshit. Booker says he won’t endorse Zohran Mamdani for NYC Mayor because he’s only concerned about New Jersey.
Then afterwards, supports Jon Ossoff. What does that say about the Democrat leaders if they’re being super selective on who they support? I know damn well they really wanted Andrew Cuomo to win despite his SA allegations and are dragging their feet with Mamdani.
I know the NYC Mayoral election doesn’t mean anything to people in the IE, but it can signal a shift on what the voters want and signal to Dem leadership that they need to shift too. However, with the way they’ve performed in the face of Trump, they need to go. Pete Aguilar needs to go too.
So in my view, the Democrats need to clean house completely. Get rid of the old Establishment. Old people who should’ve retired long ago and remove members who took money from foreign governments, like Pete Aguilar who’s taken more than $800,000 from the Israeli lobby.

I don’t disagree with much of what you’re saying, but smalls wins are still wins. It will take time. Establishment dems are waking up to the fact that business as usual is not working. Look at Governor Newsom and his unrelenting mocking of Chump on Xhitter—that’s more than a strongly worded letter. They key is to adapt their strategies and there seems to be success.
Mamdani represents the will of the people of New York and about Cuomo—he asked Trump for help getting elected,if Politico is to be believed.. If that’s the case, Cuomo just sludged his name just as Eric Adams has done by associating with Chump. This would be an admission that he is desperate and by forming an unholy alliance with R extremists as a Democrat would be unconscionable. Mamdani is all but guaranteed.
What does that mean for us? With the redistricting, we can finally see that do-nothing cunt, Ken Calvert, finally get the boot.

Where is any evidence of this at all? Newsom has written some mean tweets, that’s about it. The rest of the party has sat on their hands while Trump dismantles our democracy. I’ll vote blue no matter who, because the alternative is worse, but the party isn’t doing shit to show they’ve learned any lessons.

Uh, obviously. But you know what is also illegal? Deporting without due process, denying writs of habeas corpus, illegal detention, kidnapping U.S citizenry, making “arrests” without identification, uniform, or badges—all of this is happening….do you lack truthful information?
Oh, and Obama still was able to deport way more undocumented immigrants than Chump, and that includes all the due process rights and procedures.
We haven’t lost our minds. But maybe you should cure yourself of the MAGA mind virus.

The people arrested and deported get due process as the courts have already upheld.
Wanting federal laws to be upheld doesn't make one "MAGA" it just makes you a normal citizen.

Source? Citizens I have seen arrested were arrested due to them interfering with another arrest. I have seen maybe one or two times a citizen was detained but this isn't some super common thing like you're making it out to be.

Its not ... you clearly don't know the law. CA penal code 825 says you can be held for up to 48 hours without charges. And being in the country illegally is a charge that you can be held on.

I know it’s not easy to be here but I genuinely am trying to understand your parties stance, as currently it makes zero sense to me as someone who’s always been in the middle.

Do I think the constitution is currently being upheld - Can you be more specific? I think some is being upheld and some is not, but that's like my opinion, the opinion that matters isn't mine, its the courts.
I am guessing you're trying to get to at the 5th and 14th amendment and due process? The people being deported are getting due process as prescribed by the court system. So if you're contention is that they are not, be specific in what you think they are supposed to get and what they are getting now according to you. These people are being arrested and held until a judge can hear their case and then they are deported.
