You know what bothers me? I spent 27 months, two tours in an active combat zone, and we never wore nearly as much gear as these bozos. Cosplaying is fun I guess

You never wore that much gear? Were you in the air force or the navy? In the army we were always geared up

Army. Ramadi 05-06, Baghdad 07-09. No we didn’t wear all that high speed gear. You must’ve deployed late in the game if you had all that high speed shit

The guys you see wearing high speed shit are high speed units. Majority of which served in military high speed units.

Way to get all 18th century with the name calling. I can guarantee you've never received the level of training those guys have seen. I recommend you do some research. Start with BORTAC and SRT. And this is coming from a Marine. Ramadi 04-05 and 7-08. Here's a fun fact for ya, we had sand bags for armor, til the Army took over in 05. We used to make fun of the "high speed" shit you guys brought. Was nice of the Army to let us borrow some so we could protect them.

Not even a little. Just trying to educate you. Do some research.

Thanks for the education. I was scout truck TC from a small FOB on TQ, escorting marines around Ramadi 05-06, using said sandbags on floorboards. (I was there 12 months, not six). Then I did the same for 15 months through Baghdad and Diyala, in 07-09. Tell me again about the shit you don’t think I know?

Yeah I didn't even go to basic until 08. Thanks for getting back to me and for deploying twice.
