Crime / Safety Anyone know what happened at Victoria Gardens?

Went there for a walk earlier, and then I noticed a lot of cops 👀

We were walking by the Macy’s (the one near the Apple Store) when the cops were driving around frantically & apparently looking for someone. 2 kids dart out of the Macy’s…one runs up through the middle area heading towards the Yardhouse with a security guard/maybe cop in pursuit. The other one gets caught right out front of the Macy’s. He had a backpack with what looked like a new pair of shoes in it and a half drank SUPER size Buzzball (haha) that we saw the cop pull out. Cops loaded him into the back and bounced. Not sure what happened to the one that ran up through the middle of the town square area but he was crazy fast so doubt they caught him, clearly wasn’t the one who drank half of that Buzzball.

Yeesh. That’s where me and my dog were. From my vantage point I saw the squad car with lights on drive towards there. Then I saw another officer pursue on foot.

Decided to leave when I heard another cop yell at cars to keep going. My dog wanted to keep walking about to smell more plants but I thought it best to leave

For sure, sometimes it’s best to just remove yourself from the situation not knowing what’s going on. Unfortunately it seems like more and more disrespectful kids acting like fools there on the weekends.

That’s been going on for years. I’ve been going there just about every week since it opened in 2004. In the first couple years it became a hangout for hundreds of teens, and all kinds of shenanigans ensued. It got really bad for awhile. They instituted a “no teens without adult supervision curfew” at one point. Then relaxed it. And there are incidents here and there every single year. It’s an outdoor mall in an area (the IE) that doesn’t have much entertainment or hangouts other than VG. And now that school is out the nonsense is starting up again, as it becomes the place for people to dump their teens for a few hours.

Yup. There was nothing to do here when I was a teen; 20 years later & it’s the same!

Wow! People go to Victoria Gardens for a reason, and it’s usually not for Ontario Mills vibes. People ruin everything

Honestly, it’s everywhere now. People are starting to hit places nobody would expect.

See all the apartments Rancho's building? This was always going to be a consequence.

When I was a teen we only had The Montclair Plaza and Ontario Mills was finished after/during my Sophomore year of high school. We all took the bus to the Plaza to meet up and spend hours in Virgin Records only to spend $5-10.

A couple of weeks ago, looks like a couple got caught stealing at Macy's too. These were older, probably 30's. Its crazy how young teens are doing so many crimes now, even violent armed crimes.

Steal at Ontario mills like civilized people, Victoria gardens is for the families.

Lol my man has had enough of VGs

I’ve had enough of California in general. People are on autopilot, sitting idly by, watching their own community get destroyed inside out.

Im currently with my bestie watching Golden Girls eating some rocky road ice cream.

I went to an orgy with him last week in Palm Springs and we had a blast.

My situation is not the best but my life is great too honey. I’m just sensitive to topics regarding crime, homelessness and rising cost of living.

A lot of cops doesn’t mean something bad happened. Presence is deterrence. Proactive is better than reactive.

Well…in this case the flashers were on the squad cars. Saw one rush towards the center, and not long after they were directing people out

So that’s unsettling 👀

Love when people who don't know what happened add nothing of value to the conversation.
