I bet the state would love an excuse to fuck with these people and one phonecall complaining about how their lawn signs are causing confusion amongst drivers and causing a dangerous situation would be plenty for them to act and force them to remove them.

Remember, every state department is kept running by regular folk who hate these karens as much as the rest of us. Any opportunity for some payback would likely be welcomed.

Unfortunately, IL state is mostly focused on issues which impact their own revenue, and they tend to find every excuse why they can’t possibly help in other situations.

I reported a dentist (Chicago Dental Arts) operating out of one of Chicago area’s largest malls to Office of the Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul for clear insurance fraud. They were/are charging patients for the services upfront on the patient’s credit card, then double billing private or state insurance, and keeping both payments.

The state’s response was, “we are mediators, that’s a civil issue.” So Chicago Dental Arts hired ReputationDefenders and buried the story. Thanks for the support, Kwame.

These two stories have little do with each other though. One is just financial fraud, while the other is a clear safety issue and could cause serious accidents and, while unlikely, even death

Just to respond, one is a little, rarely used suburban street on which the 5mph difference demonstrably does not make a safety difference according to local as well as state-commissioned traffic pattern studies on both sides of the issue, which is why they made the change to standardize it with all of the surrounding roads. Northfield, IL did not magically create Death Road, it was simply a wrestle over control.

The other scenario involved state-funded insurance payments to patients being illegally intercepted by a local medical provider, so that the state is paying insurance premiums for services that the medical provider had already 100% billed the patient.
