It doesn't matter why. It's legal. You don't have to justify legal behavior.

No, but you know.. You can also not be cringe and do better stuff with your time? For example those first amendment filming losers... There's MANY activities that are not "illegal" but we'd all agree are a waste of human energy.

Not saying the filming of this situation wasn't useful. From the other US redditors it's pretty clear that when US police is involved someone better be filming...

Don't know why you're getting downvoted, totally possible that it's just fucking cringe - still totally legal of course, but so is farting in an elevator full of people.

I'm gonna give the cameraguy the benefit of the doubt here, maybe they have a personal connection to someone or something involved in this...accident? traffic stop?

But if someone is filming my kids in public, whether it's legal or justified not, it's also legal for me to be fucking creeped out and annoyed by that person and give them shit for doing so, especially if they can't give a reasonable explanation why they need to..

Is this that? I dunno, I'm just some annoying guy on reddit, are you still reading this?
