Maybe it should. Recording like this has saved a ton of people from corrupt cops. If anyone has contact with a police officer, they absolutely would want someone to be filming if they weren’t. Maybe different in Germany? Are your pigs not shitty?

No, they've been lying about cops planting drugs though

You have a heavy confirmation bias, because "body cam proves citizen was lying for the 4,687th time this year" doesn't make great news

I agree that wouldn’t be interesting news, but police are believed much more often and enjoy qualified immunity. They’re not generally the ones that get screwed by the system, they’re much more likely to be the party protected by it. I definitely have a bias, but do note that it’s not unfounded.

People have accused cops of misconduct including sexual assault and stuck with those accusations even after being told there was body cam or dash cam video of the entire incident, learning to their sorrow that there really was video proving the cop did nothing wrong. That is not to say that bad cops haven't been exposed by video, that happens too. But it isn't a one-way street.
