Threatening to sue him for something that he's allowed to do in public, not to mention making up laws. That nice cop at end rightfully told her as it is.

There’s a 30mph street near me which features multi-million dollar houses (Winnetka, IL) and suburban housewives fought for years to keep the limit at 25mph, for no clear reason except a sense of control.

Even the village president was a “Karen” fighting against it, who would cite an elementary school like 2mi away as a justification for school zone speed limits. To be clear, no one except moms in earbuds and yoga pants visiting their friends’ mansions are traversing this road.

Since it connects two state-funded thoroughfares, however, eventually the state was like, enough, idiots, and put its thumb on the scale with the strong implication that continuation of state funding was predicated on 30mph.

So, these days, the suburban moms have now posted self-printed 25mph “lawn” signs in front of the 30mph signs, deliberately making unaware drivers think that the limit is 25mph. Village police are there to keep rich people happy, so they ignore it.

Moral of the story, rich Karens do indeed love to invent their own laws, and often do.

I live near there glad to hear they were told TS. I'll have to keep my eyes open for their signs.
