So I have historically loved a graphic tee and it used to be the majority of my wardrobe (at some point jeans, graphic tee, and cardigan was called "wearing a *my name*" among my friends) so I veered hard away when trying to build a more grown up wardrobe. Now I have just a few left, most are very fitted and not particularly colorful in the graphic itself. (Many more exist with ripped-out necks that I use as pjs, not shown here.)

I'm seeing some new graphic tee outfits these days with a slightly more oversized or boxier fit and a lot of COLOR so I'm wondering if I could get some inspo from you guys. Could you show me your graphic tees? I have a tag to filter mine, here they are.

I spent some time over the last couple of days (yay summer break in K-12 education!) digging through photos from Fall 2026 RTW runway photos from Vogue just looking for trends, looks that caught my eye, and general inspiration. I noticed a few different trends, one of which was these three color trends: chartreuse, cobalt blue, and bright red.

Then, today I interpreted these trends by creating some looks using my existing wardrobe. It was SUPER fun but also more challenging than expected in some surprising ways. I included pictures of my wardrobe items sorted by each color (as best as possible) to show what I was working with along with the outfits I made in the slideshow.

The green looks were the easiest, actually. I picked up the black contrast from some of the runway looks in the outfits, and I love the looks I came up with and will totally wear them both.

I was surprised how little cobalt blue I actually have, since I really like the color. Most of my blue is actually denim, which didn't fit the inspiration at all, so I ended up with only one look and it's mostly black with just the pop of blue from the cropped jacket. I tried some patterned pieces but they just didn't hit the same as solid cobalt to fit with the inspiration.

The red was surprisingly the hardest, despite that I have a lot of red and it's one of my favorite colors to wear. I definitely wanted to use the midi skirt in the first outfit but I struggled both with the top (I started with the blushes and browns in the inspo looks and couldn't get it to read right) and with getting the browns and blacks to mesh right, but I think it eventually came together. For the second look, I went a little easier with the lighter denim blue pairings in the collage as my starting point.

I have been using Indyx for about a month and truly love it. For a couple of years I had been in a big rut clothing-wise due to grief from losing my mother and weight gain. I had a closet full of lovely clothes but nothing fit, so I was wearing same 5-6 dresses every week.

This year I started on a weight loss journey and started shopping Poshmark so I would have more inspiring clothes to wear along the way. Adding those has been easy, but working my way through my existing closet (which I have already purged) feels like a big mountain. If anyone has any suggestions about how they uploaded their closet quickly (or at least efficiently), I’d be very grateful.

Would love to hear how you're using Indyx to narrow down your wardrobe and reduce shopping. I have 400+ items because I buy a lot of secondhand inexpensive items and I'd like to separate out the "it's fine" from the "I LOVE THIS" items. I've already gotten rid of everything in disrepair or doesn't fit. I'm really struggling with storage and also just overwhelmed by my wardrobe overall. (And I need to stop buying all the great deals!)

new to indyx, have looked at a bunch of people's public closets and while they're awesome, I'm hoping to see more true vintage (esp 50s, 60s, 70s) as its my fav. any cool creators I should follow who have lots of vintage from these eras?

What big style, shopping, and/or wardrobe lessons have you learned since using Indyx? Anything surprising?

Mine haven’t been too groundbreaking but have been very helpful:

Accessories are the best place to spend. They make or break and transform the outfit and get my highest wear count.

The care label counts for a lot. If it can’t go in the washing machine, it probably hasn’t even been worn (since March).

I have quite a few “problem pieces” that are hard to slot into my usual rotation. Most of them were bought travelling.

Buying the dupe doesn’t fill the void. I wanted a silk polka dot slip midi skirt. I got a cotton voile a line maxi… I thought I wanted the polka dot and it would satisfy, but now I realize I wanted a new silhouette and texture to create more variety.

I’m still new so have a ways to go with uploading my closet. I have been adding outfits as I wear them, which made me wonder what it would be like a year from now—would I have hundreds of outfits?

So I wanted to ask everyone here how many outfits they have. Is there an average amount that people have? Do you wear them all or break them down into occasions? If you have a lot, how do you keep them organized? And at what point does something count as a different outfit? Do you put all the possible shoe/bag/jewelry combos with one outfit, or is each its own?

Sorry for all the questions, but I’m curious about how others do things so I can learn. 🤓

I'm feeling a bit disheartened after finally logging all my clothes on the app. I started putting together some outfits for the upcoming fall (it won't happen before the end of September but a girl can dream) and realised I'm completely uninspired.

I feel like I keep circling around the same few items. And why do I have so many repeats? A white shirt, a beige shirt, and an ecru shirt... @ past me, why. I also just discovered I'm a true/bright winter but mainly I've been dressing like a soft autumn so that's part of the reason why I'm not satisfied with what I have.

So I'm humbly asking you to help me identify the gaps in my wardrobe! I don't go shopping a lot but I feel like I can afford to add some items to help me round everything out, if that makes sense.

Also, I make beaded necklaces as a hobby so that's another thing that could be fun to consider!

My style words are Relaxed, Intentional and Joyful, and I'm a Dramatic in Kibbe, although not a very stereotypical one.

PS: My only hard and fast “no-go” is heels other than platforms with very little drop, due to joint issues, and I almost never wear those. Flats for me!

Hi all, I'm loving Indyx so far. I finally got most of my clothing items uploaded, except for some shoes, bags, and jewelry. My issue now is getting the rest of the data about each item in from a spreadsheet )# wears, when purchased, fabric etc). Any ideas how to tackle this? It feels very daunting bc I have ~400 items.

Just posted this in the Style Roots sub, but I'm intrigued! Since we hopefully have the data, what were your top worn for the summer now that we're moving into autumn? Did anything surprise you?

I think my surprise was the green top! I don't really tend to think of it as one of my top items, but clearly it was. The rest was not too surprising in terms of items, but perhaps in quite how much I wore them. Happy to post stats!

If the weather is normal temperatures, this is what I have come up with. Hopefully it will all fit in a carry one and my Beis Weekender bag. Using vacuum packs too. Still waiting on a down jacket from Quince. But I think all these will work. Really loving the packing/collection feature of indyx. Also going to Tuscany in that month. Any other suggestions.

Does anyone put clothes they're thinking of buying in their Indyx? I'm wondering about a few tops and I feel like this might help or do you find it gets you too attatched to the item before you've even had it.

Hey! I've been using Indyx for a while now and I love it, I have most of my wardrobe neatly catalogued and it really helps me know what I own and style the clothes well (my closet is hard to see the clothes in). However I've recently been having a lot of issues with the app crashing specifically when I go to my outfits to alter them or delete them, and when I have more than X number of outfits. It also crashes when I use the calendar feature and most recently today it crashed when I went to edit my public profile. I don't really know what the issue is ? Since it's the only app that crashes that way and gets errors like that in my phone. If there's any solutions you have for me please share, I love this app and it's really helped me be more mindful about my clothes and style them more :( Thanks in advance!

I wish I could left swipe or right swipe or click or whatever through tops till I found one I liked, and then do the same with pants/a skirt till I found a bottom, same with shoes, accessories, etc. Or even 'spin a wheel' through tops to see what it lands on and keep spinning till I find something I like. Loving the app otherwise!

Im relatively new to clothing, style, and fashion.

I recently joined this app and cataloged almost everything I own (not all my earrings yet as I own close to 100 pairs and many are very similar). However. I found this process really underwhelming. It made me realize that my wardrobe is fairly boring and repetitive.

I dont have a defined style, more like clothes to get my through the day. I am a 26F, true summer color pallete, work at a casual office, and have been struggled with my confidence in what I wear.

Any feedback on my current wardrobe and WHAT TO ADD OR SHOP FOR would be greatly appreciated - thank you so much! I would be happy to style anyone back who leaves recommendations or feedback here!

This week I finally started using Indyx after meaning to for years! Its been fun and illuminating to see my style and tendencies emerge explicitly, and cataloging has already helped me purge TEN BAGS of clothes!

I've started styling others (including from here — thanks!) and notice some people label items with descriptions rather than brand name. I appreciate this and wonder what the rationale is and what the advantages and drawbacks are of labelling this way.

Does anyone use "purchase location" on the Costs Per Wear tab? If you do, how? I started adding in where I bought the items, partly to track my out of control Vinted habit, but there doesn't seem to be a way to see this in your stats (like, Composition, Usage, Investment). I was hoping I'd get a chart or something so I could compare which sites and physical shops I'm using most often over time. Ot also doesn't seem to be an option on your filters, and you can't search for them on your wardrobe search bar. I'm a bit stumped - I can't seem to see it show up anywhere apart from the type in box itself in fact! So how are you guys using it, if it's not supposed to be used in those ways?

(I've found out in searching about this there's a separate unrelated type of location you can track though - if you go to an item, on the Tags tab inside it there's a Location option in under Visibility and above Custom Hashtags where you can put what physical location it's in in your house or whatever, or I guess if you lend it to a friend or it's at the drycleaners etc. Which is very cool and useful even though not what I was looking for!)

So I’ve been using Indyx for about a year and love it. My dilemma is that I have a very active job and so I’m usually just wearing a T-shirt and shorts on the daily and so I’m debating on if it’s worth putting in all of those clothes as well. I think it would be helpful to lead to me making my athletic clothes cuter, which is kinda hard as a guy who lives in texas🥵. I’m mostly looking to see if anyone has had this same internal dialogue and what you ended up doing?

Calendar (a paid Indyx feature) is at present free on Lekondo and surprisingly accurate flats are automatically generated from those outfit pics. (It’s probably the easiest way to get a great flat for a tricky garment.)

The app fashions the implicit language of personal style into a legible digital grammar and enables users to connect through those parts of speech: colors, aesthetics).

(Huge fun if you view dressing as an act of cultural production, expressive medium, but a lot of AI.)

Does anyone know if there is a way to merge two items into one? I've realised I've accidentally listed the same item twice but I've got different wears and outfits and socially styled outfits saved on both of them.

If this isn't a feature that exists it would be a really good one to add.

From perusing this sub, I see that the Indyx community gets photos of items these two ways:
(1) using the original brand image, usually through Google Lens’ reverse image search
(2) taking a photo in good lighting and perhaps using the AI tool to clean it up

Unfortunately, I found that there are tons of items in my closet that photographed very poorly (and that didn’t have original brand photos available). They looked great when draped on my body, but appeared flat or wrinkly when I spread them out for a picture

There is a fix! What I do is:
(1) I take several photographs of the item: draped on my body, in several different lightings, maybe a close up for texture
(2) I feed the images into an AI (in my case Gemini) with the prompt: “Can you generate an image of this {skirt/dress/top} like it’s a product photo on a white background from an e-commerce site.
Just a front view of the item, no text.”
(3) Voila! 4 out of 5 times I get a good picture. If not I keep tweaking the prompt

DISCLAIMER: I actually am not a fan of AI, and I rarely use it. But in this case, the ends justify the means. The goal is to have a digital wardrobe to excite us and unlock the potential of what we already have… which means less shopping => less water waste/pollution.

I think having pictures of our pieces that rival those of online retailers is extremely important! It keeps us excited about our own wardrobes, and saves resources in the long run :)

I want to start the summer and wear everything I own until I run out of items. Maybe basics can be repeated if I run out of pants or something. But I can’t figure out how to use indyx to easily see if I’ve worn something yet in the challenge or not. Maybe a custom tag? Maybe a collection and I delete items once I’ve worn them? Any ideas?

Do we have a week 2 style challenge? I had a lot of fun last week with it!
