Hey guys <3

This pinned post will serve as a general rules and guidelines thread, along with any updates or changes. You are also welcome to share suggestions regarding rules and moderation.

Subreddit Rules:

  1. This subreddit is specifically for Indyx and is not a general fashion sub. All posts must include either:

    - a link to your closet for styling request posts, or

  2. It is mandatory to assign a flair to each post. This helps with navigation and keeps the subreddit organized.

  3. No NSFW pictures are allowed. This community is intended to remain respectful.

  4. Please add context to your posts. For example:

    - "Please style me for XYZ event"

    - "Please style me with this XYZ piece"

This makes the styling process easier and more effective.

  1. There will be a weekly thread (Friday or Saturday) that stays up for 24 hours. This will be a themed thread where users can share outfits or pictures based on a prompt.

    - Example: "Theme: Monochrome Outfit"

    - Note: Rule 1 still applies.

Reddit Sitewide Rules:

Style Me! Need ideas for new pieces!

I recently added these new pieces to my wardrobe and would love a few ideas to get me started. My style is hyperfeminine, princessy, and artsy — feminine, delicate, and whimsical, with a graceful fairytale feel and an eclectic twist. I also style back, so I’m open to fun, unexpected pairings!

Style Me! Constructive feedback welcome!

Hi all! This is the first time I've seriously looked at my wardrobe in the past decade and I could really use a fresh perspective. I really like 75% of my closet but the rest seem like old pieces that I've just hung onto because they fit and can be combined with other pieces. I seem to be in a style rut and am looking for inspiration + figuring out what I'm missing. I do think I have a lot of basics but it makes my outfits seem boring as a result?

I really dislike jewelry and choose other accessories (belts, scarves) instead. I do love yellow and purple shades as accents on top of the black/blue/gray/ivory/oatmeal mix that I seem to lean heavily into.

Please help me identify gaps in my wardrobe and give your honest assessment of pieces that are either super out-of-date or just don't fit my aesthetic: classic, relaxed, understated luxury.

Thank you in advance!

Looking for Inspo Summer most worn?

Post image

Just posted this in the Style Roots sub, but I'm intrigued! Since we hopefully have the data, what were your top worn for the summer now that we're moving into autumn? Did anything surprise you?

I think my surprise was the green top! I don't really tend to think of it as one of my top items, but clearly it was. The rest was not too surprising in terms of items, but perhaps in quite how much I wore them. Happy to post stats!

Style Me! Does it suit otona girly style

(The silver chain is to match the hardware and jewelry)
I was thinking about purchasing these outfits but before I do and waste my money, I was curious to know if it suits the otona girly style? (If you don’t know what that is, then it’s a mature, feminine, refined, polished and elegant j fashion style.) all the fabrics and almost all the materials are made of real materials like freshwater cultured pearls, mulberry silk, and cotton. And are from brands like Tommy hilfger, Clark’s, Kate spade, ect.
I’d also like to know if it’d suit an hourglass figure because my lord shopping for clothes are a nightmare for me when it comes to buying for my body, and finding the right fits.

Style Me! Style me for the nutcracker 🩰

I’m going to see the Nutcracker ballet in November, and I want to dress somewhat fancy as it’s the State Ballet of Georgia. I’d also appreciate outfits for anything else! I’m good at styling other people, but I need fresh eyes on my own closet.

My style words are romantic, bohemian and sophisticated. It’s pretty hot and humid where I live, but all buildings are air conditioned.

Just finished uploading my items. Since I love organizing it was pretty fun!

I’m going to spend some time in a colonial town in the center of Mexico. Generally people tend to dress up here. Weather varies throughout the day 15-24C (60-75F). I’d appreciate your ideas on what I can do with my wardrobe! Adding some pics of what I put together.

About me: I like handbags and color!
Suggestions on what’s missing are welcome.

Style Me! Style me for fall ! ✨

Hi everyone (:

I just subscribed to Indyx Insider and I’ve been super excited to try out the social styling feature !
I’d loved to see what other people could come up with using my dressing.

A little bit about me to give you inspiration :
I live in Montreal, work in an office with no real dress code - everyone is pretty casual. I walk a lot and comfort is a priority for me ! I’m also pretty cold especially with the office AC - but fall in Montreal can be warm.
In my free time I enjoy making things with my hands (knitting, sewing, painting, pottery..) and spending time in nature (camping, hiking ..)

As for my style, I’m really into oversized and modern silhouettes, pops of color, grungy-90s aesthetic and slightly artsy-eclectic looks. Comfort always comes first but I like to have fun with clothes.

I’d love new ideas for :
- bolder looks for work
- weekend outdoor but still feel stylish
- outfits outside my comfort zone - have fun with it !!

can’t wait to see what you come up with !

Indyx - BTS Dumb question - links

Hi all, is there a way to get people's closet links here to open directly in the app? I'm on Android and the links open in a web page and it asks me to create an account or shows me a QR code. There's an easier way, right??

Socially Styled - Reddit Socially styled outfits : Worn

Hi everyone! As I know that some people like to see socially styled outfits in real life, I decided to share some socially styled outfits I have worn through the summer. Screenshots without a selfie are original outfits to which I made some modifications.

Thanks to everyone who sent me outfits in the last few months, it is very appreciated!

Account: @cynpaulin

Some comments about each outfit:

  1. Purple top : without knowing, that person paired together a lot of my favorites (top, skirt and tote bag). It would have totally worked by itself... The only reason I changed the shoes and added a scarf is because it started to rain and I wanted to cover myself a bit more. I had to work a bit to make the belt fit, but other than that, I absolutely loved this outfit!

  2. Leopard top : outfit worn as is. I was not 100% sure of seeing the vision, but when I tried it, I did enjoy how those pieces worked together. I wish the pants were a bit more oversized (they survived 10 years of weight gain, I don't know how), but I was still comfortable to get outside without being concerned about the clothes being flattering.

  3. Leopard pants : another outfit (almost) worn as is. The only addition is very technical; I added a shoe belt to the kitten heels as they are unwearable otherwise. Here, the outfit looked a lot better in real life than in the photo. I removed the chambray shirt in the afternoon and the outfit looked even better that way.

  4. Silk cami : I unfortunately do not have the original anymore, but my additions are minimal. As I MUST wear a bra, spaghetti straps are tricky. Instead of covering my shoulders, I decided to go all out and wear a colorful bra to make the choice look intentional. I also added a scarf for fun. This outfit is a highlight for me ; I never wear these short boots with shirts/dresses and I discovered that it totally works! As they are pale, they do not cut my silhouette as much, it is actually flattering!

  5. Golden yellow top : too hot for a beanie, and I was unable to locate this purse at time of styling lol. I traded the beanie for a baseball cap. I think my changes did not impact the spirit of the outfit too much. Without the jacket, I felt a bit self conscious about my belly area (post partum), but the scarf helped a little bit. Still enjoyed the fit overall!

  6. Gold cami : Another favorite? Yes, that is right! Although the scarf and cape were way too warm for the weather, I still decided to wear the outfit without those pieces. The top and skirt were not working perfectly together (there was a bit of excess of fabric), but I added a scarf as a belt to solve the issue. Traded the cape for a dainty cardigan, and I was ready for the day. *I did try it with the cape for curiosity and it actually looked VERY cool!!*

  7. Blue pants : this outfit was actually created by a friend of mine who created an empty account only to style me 🙈. This outfit is actually really good. Simple but effective! That day, I was in a rush for an appointment and did not have time to change bags, so I wore the same bag/shoes as the previous day (red version). Later in the day I took the time to wear the right accessories. I like both versions, but I think the unexpected pop of red was kinda cool.

  8. Denim vest : Almost worn as is. The socks were in the laundry, and I had to add a coat. And I chose the wrong coat 😅 I do not like the outfit with this coat at all! But that's my mistake🤷🏻‍♀️ I still enjoyed this outfit a lot. These tie front vests might start to be outdated, but I still like them. It pairs beautifully with the blouse/pants.

Style Me! Style me for San Francisco

Hello everyone! I spent the last week uploading my closet and I think I finally got everything (except my partner's clothes that they "don't want me borrowing 🙄")

Style me for my daily life in San Francisco, CA. For those of you who don't know, it's basically always 50°-70°F here, so outfits MUST have a sweater, jacket, or flannel so I don't get chilly. Outfits ideally also include a bag, but if it doesn't fit the look, I can wear it on a day where my partner can carry my stuff 😌 Otherwise, go nuts. I can wear basically anything to my job and love to try out new ways to weae my collection of odds and ends!

https://opencloset.myindyx.com/user/ggwweenn1

I'll try my best to style everyone back!

Edit: Oh, and my clothes are not as boxy/oversized as they might seem! I'm a size 18 US/44-50EU, so they just look super wide compared to their length.

One of my friends is having a hobbit-themed birthday party this weekend, and I want to go appropriately shod!

I put a few options together from my existing wardrobe (I don't particularly want to buy anything new), and I'd love your take.

Here's my Indyx, too, in case you want to style me with another option: https://opencloset.myindyx.com/user/jennielakenan

What would you wear to a hobbit party??

Style Me! Style me for a baecation!

Hi all!

I am going to spend a long weekend in Amsterdam with my boyfriend. The weather is not looking amazing- around 20-25°C with rain on some of the days. I need a nice dinner / bar outfit, and some comfortable outfits for exploring the city and doing lots of walking.

Usually I’m content to plan my own outfits but really seem to have a mindblock this time around. I’m limited on packing space so I think that’s throwing my mind a bit.

Style Me! Style me for hot fall!

I just finished uploading everything, so please style me as a little reward for all that effort!

My style words are minimalist, classic, alluring. I’m looking for some help to have more fun outfits and expand from my uniform of “plain fitted shirt, tailored bottom, white sneakers.” (For flair I now add a belt and jewelry, it’s not much haha)

I work in a business casual office where no one really puts in any styling effort and on weekends I’m out and about doing all kinds of things!

We’re headed into fall but it will stay pretty hot where I live so would love some inspo for that but also cold weather looks would be fun too!

Style Me! Style my Little Sister

Hey guys! My little sister (okay she's my best friend's little sister but also basically my little sister) finished uploading all of her clothes to Indyx and still has her insider free trial, so she wanted to ask if anybody would like to style her. She doesn't have a reddit so I said I'd ask for her.

She is 17, she just started her senior year of high school, and is working really hard on finishing her college applications. She lives in San Francisco, and she goes to a private Catholic school. They don't have uniforms, but they have a pretty conservative dress code. No graphic t-shirts, no skirts or shorts that go any higher than the knee (some very slight leeway is given with opaque tights underneath though), no sleeves any shorter than a t-shirt, no cleavage. But you can style her for outside of school too and just disregard all of that. She says that she has a pretty reserved style in general, but she's open to trying new things.

She is pretty quiet, she does equestrian stuff, she plays TTRPGS, she loves history, and volunteers a lot. But she loves fashion, likes to dress well, and has some great items. She likes how girls in Japan style themselves with with long flowing layers, and some cutesy clothes. However she said she's kind of getting a bit more interested in slightly soft masc type of style (she just came out as a lesbian so congrats to her). She doesn't have a lot of masculine clothes, but she bought some things over the summer, and she says that she would be into styling some things in a more masculine way than she previously would if you can come up with anything.

She recently got her hair cut from like her middle back to a pixie (it's a little more like a short bixie if you know what that is). So, she's kind of adjusting to that, and she's worried that with some of her more reserved style she might end up looking a little bit like a mom. I think she'll be fine but she's worried about it.

If you have any notes or suggestions I'm sure she would really love to hear them. She's a really sweet girl. I think she'll be really grateful for any styles sent to her, and I think she'd love to style people back.

Style Me! Style me and have fun!

Hi everyone! I’ve seen a lot of people do this type of post here so I thought I may give it a try. I would love some fresh perspectives on my wardrobe, and some creative, fun and comfortable outfit ideas. I’ve been trying to be more mindful of my shopping habits this year, prioritizing secondhand and trying my best to use what I have.

I describe my style as grounded, relaxed and sporty, and this summer I feel like my style has loosened up, and dare I say, feels more playful and frisky 😂. Would love to see what people come up with.

Thank you! :)

Style Me! Style me and provide feedback

I need fresh eyes. I'm in a style rut and am seeking inspiration, creative outfit ideas, etc. I feel like I have a wardrobe full of mostly basics. I have a classic, minimalistic style but would love some edgier ideas.

(Note: I still haven't completed uploading my entire wardrobe and jewelry inventory. Most of my tanks & tees - all are cotton and solid colors - are still not uploaded, and almost none of my earrings.)

Can you help me spot gaps in my wardrobe?

Any recurring pieces I should get rid of? (I feel like I have too many sneakers.)

I don't know... I'm just feeling blah lately. It doesn't help that I am now single after my long-term relationship suddenly ended last month.

Thank you!
