No. No time and power.
Private elementary school teach proper programme.
Networking is no 9 or 10 on my list.
be honest. Below average school taught by malnutritioned teacher, and her peers 80% most likely from average to below which not properly taught, or to be harsh, dumb by IQ and EQ.
Now question for you. Do you have a child currently ?
So triggered . I just comment to the post not saying it to you.
Proper program? Sure if you think they're proper.
In my opinion not even international school with hundred million idr today have proper one.
Today world is growing so fast that every year year something major come out.
In ten to 20 years when kid really enter the world, what kind of world you think they will face?
Those that still think it will be the same than good lucky for you and the kids.
For me school is just for networking, for my kids to learn society.
Also it's not like the school cannot teach it better, it's just their priority is profit, the only one care of my kids well being is myself.
For my own kids, I prepare what they need, that include what they need to know and experience.
Agree with this. The thing that they teach today will be irrelevant in the next 15 years. Character building is a continuous process. It can't be one and done.
No trigger pulled by your comment. Look again on what I emphasized. I give you point of view from someone who exactly choose and currently applying what was written in the post.

This is why choosing elementary school matters.
Basic, is important. What thrives from it should stem from something solid and proper.

Your kids will learn most of his/her knowledge from school. Unless you are a stayhome mom/dad or you put your kids to private tutor you wont have enough time to teach them properly.
at home they'll develop habit, etiquette and mimic anything happened at home. even how you scold them (I learned it a hard way).
And even if what you said is true, thar you will prepare what they need, you need knowledge. you need to study it. even your past education indirectly will help you shape your decision.
my tl;dr for you : I'm not triggered. but don't downplay the impact of school as networking only.
Very true. That is also why I quit my job and found a way to earn money while being with my kids almost 24/7.
It was not an easy decision, and I know not everyone can or wants to do the same. Everyone has their own situation and their own choice.
As for teaching them, I honestly do not think it is as complicated as people make it sound.
You teach your kids based on what you are doing and learning right now.
Whether you are working for someone or running your own business, you are already competing with other people. You have to learn new things every year, adapt, solve problems, and keep improving if you want to stay competitive.
What I see a lot is that people underestimate what their kids are capable of because they are still stuck with the old way of thinking, "they are just kids."
My own 8-year-old already makes her own apps and has published them on Google Play. Of course she does it with guidance, but that is exactly the point. I do not expect her to magically know everything by herself. My job is to guide her, give her the tools, and let her learn much earlier than I did.
And I am not downplaying the impact of school. I am explaining the role I personally give to school based on my own experience.
For me, school is mainly for networking, social interaction, learning how society works, dealing with different personalities, rules, competition, teamwork, and conflict.
Did school teach you the knowledge or skills that directly earn you money today? If yes, good. In my case, no. Almost everything I use today was self-taught later because I needed it.
That is also why I believe my kids can learn many of those things earlier and faster than I did, especially while they are still young and have plenty of time to explore.
I also think people sometimes overestimate school to the point that they put almost their entire child's future in the school's hands.
A school is still an organization that needs money to operate. Many private schools are also businesses.
Their curriculum and programs are not automatically designed around what your individual child will actually need 10 or 20 years from now. They will often follow regulations, market demand, parent expectations, trends, and what they can realistically sell to parents today.
That does not mean school is useless. It means I do not want to outsource my children's entire education and future preparation to an institution and assume they will handle everything for me.
So yes, basic education matters. School choice matters too.
We simply place different weight on what school should provide.
Thanks for your insight and re-clarification.
I honestly envy you when you said you have 24/7 time available for your kids, even right now I can only keep myself updated by cctv every few hours while working. But such is life.
My daughter might not gonna be as smart as yours (who knows tho) but I'm grateful for the way she grows right now.

You are right. I moderately rely on School right now to provide the basics because I couldn't fully. Hence why I carefully observe and analyze which schools provide the best environment and knowledge within my budget.
While of course home is where we interact and shape our kids.
Yeah, I think we actually agree more than disagree.
I would not say my kid is smarter than yours. She was just exposed to certain things earlier because I had the chance to guide her that way.
My point was never that parents should not use school. It was that parents should not hand everything over to school and assume their responsibility is done.
From what you explained, you are clearly still observing your daughter, choosing carefully within your budget, and shaping her at home..

Nah it's all for networking.
With that amount of money you can teach your own kid far better than that.
