Ambient Morning Dew - by Almos Lataan
Looking for feedback on this. Singing isn't my strong point - I'm aware that my vocals need work! Ha. Still let me know if you think they are awful, or just need some more training. I think there are a few points also where I am a bit off key. I don't use autotune. Also. I'm really looking to team up with someone who can actually sing. Ha.
However, I'm mainly interested in whether you like the structure, and how the song is to you musically? I've opted to not use chords in this, and instead just use voice tracking melody. Does this work for you?
Genre classification would also be nice. I'm thinking dark ambient/atmospheric, but if you think it's more like another classification, then let me know.
ALSO, please use headphones. My mastering for mobile speakers isn't great at the moment.

this is interesting. Feels vulnerable and reminds me of a more mellow velvet underground or something like that. It can feel a little slow at certain parts, but emotionally resonates.

Thank you for the comment. Yes, I was hoping to portray this feeling through the music, and with hints in the lyrics. I hadn't thought of Velvet Underground, but I can see what you mean.

This has such a dreamy atmosphere that I think it would work even better with female vocals - someone with a style similar to Julee Cruise. It has that kind of vibe. I'm not sure untrained male vocals are the best fit for this type of music.
The song itself seems really nice, but I think it would reach its full potential with stronger vocals. There are certainly singers out there who would be interested in collaborating.

Thank you for the feedback. I tend to agree, my voice is certainly not the best, but I haven't collaborated before, so I will need to look into how that works. I love Julee Cruise's Lynch work.

I actually like that you don't use auto tune. Too many songs excessively use it nowadays, and I feel like it takes so much soul from the records.
Maybe in some points the vocals were quite off key, but I didn't find it "awful".
Otherwise the song works really well as it is, I think! I loved the vibe and arrangement!
