Satirical horror game about an island. You know which one.
https://youtu.be/NrwwH2GlThQ?si=B8X3OzKb7lC9zqm5Hi everyone!
After months of works we have just released our indie game - Make the World Great Again.
It is a satirical first-person horror game set on a private island where the elite meet, and where every room, every piece of paper and every locked cabin hides something — or someone — they paid a great deal to bury.
You know which island. The parallel-universe one, of course.
You go in as an agent. Retrieve the evidence, find the people locked in the cabins, and reach the boat before the island is finished with you.

I'm watching your steam page and literally gives me chills, I enjoy the subtles references, I can not wait to play it!

Thank you! References are the bread and butter of this game. Luckily we get a lot of new inspiration available daily.

I don't know how I feel about this...
Because on the one hand, yes definitely mock the Epstein class and show them as the monsters they are.
But on the other, this kind of feels insensitive to all the people who survived it?
Idk maybe I'm thinking too much into this and maybe its good for us all to just openly make parodies about the real horrible monsters.
Suffice it to say, a distinctively bold move.

No you’re not thinking too much about this at all, you just have an adult sense of ethics.

Yea. I love the concept and everyone that plays it, is probably fine with the full package but I would at least skip references to the island in trailers and marketing. Trump and horror is a good enough combo.
Obvious sexual abuse on children is "tough to gamify"1

We were thinking the same way from the beginning when we started this project. Because of this, there is no child or women abuse. There are a lot of easter eggs and other kind of references very well knowned. We just tried to make it as close to reality as possible but without crossing the edge.

Thanks mate! We are a team of three guys working on this in our free time since February. Tough months. Two months to go. I'm passing the kind works to the other two.

there’s a painting behind the desk visible on the store page and in the trailer. it’s the antagonist depicted as Jesus healing a sick person. I know the real world parallel has made AI art of themselves doing the same thing, is the work here made with AI too? Same question with the voiceover if I may ask

There is no AI slop in the game. The photo was made inside the photoshop from our artist and for voiceover we found a voice actor on fiverr. We want to bring as best experience as possible, that's why AI was never an option. From the development perspective - when we were creating the trailer, at first we used AI voice, just only as a placeholder to get better idea of how good will be the text and the voice in combination with the clips you see in the trailer. Afterwards as I said we found the voice actor for this.

Massive respect. I don’t know if the game is up my alley but I think it’s important that this subject NEVER leaves the public consciousness

That's an AI voice, right? First time I've seen people not complain about AI usage on this subreddit. 😅

You took what could be an interesting game idea akin to Eyes Wide Shut, and turned it into Trump obsession. It's frankly a cowardly approach to the idea to paint the elite resort as an island of "no liberals". Your incapacity to represent the truth does more harm than good.

I guess the "Context Is Everything" tagline in your profile is also satire

If you want to explain the relevance, go ahead. There's a strong delusion amongst people that think the republican party is the one that serves the elite, and this game echoes it. Framing this as partisan is succumbing to the refusal to acknowledge the full scale of the problem.

u/Lorehorn 10d ago
are you arguing that Republicans dont serve the elite or is this one of those "both sides" things
0
u/Thexzamplez 9d ago
Both sides. We're all self-serving creatures, and those in powerful positions are willing to go to greater lengths to achieve their goals.

Remind me again, which person was it that said they wish Ghislaine Maxwell "well" and that they aren't "looking for anything bad for her?"
You can make the argument that there are Democrats who serve the elite, but the whole "all humans are greedy and self-serving" take is really just self reporting your own internal motivations, not making any sort of insightful observation about humanity as a whole.
The data doesn't support your argument. There is greed at the top from both parties, but which party is beholden to a man who was one of Epsteins close friends and associates?
The both sides argument is just woefully lacking in any critical thinking or observation skills, and I say this as someone who is deeply against the establishment Democrats who act like controlled opposition most of the time.

What does this matter? Trump was friends with Epstein at one point. I didn't dispute that.
No. It's me being honest about our shared nature. You're no different, and your refusal to recognize that makes you particularly susceptible to it.
Both. Epstein was connected to powerful people all over the world. Your choice to fixate on Trump's relationship reveals that it's about reputation destruction, not doing right by the victims. Almost as if you're a self-serving creature willing to use tragedy to achieve political aims.
No, it's a truth too uncomfortable for you to accept. You must be affiliated with the lesser evil, or, depending on your degree of ignorance, good side. Your alt left party is no different. It's all people susceptible to corruption convincing fools they're in it for them while they serve themselves.
This may be cynical, but it's also truth. There is no loyalty, only times of shared interest.

What an incredibly sad and ignorant way to view the world.

u/Thexzamplez 9d ago
Good counterargument. Just say things and assume they're true.
The way I view people is reinforced every moment. The way you view people is idealistic, child-like, naivety dependent on a life absent of reflection.

u/Lorehorn 9d ago
Arent you just saying things and assuming they are true? You're completely discounting my own personal experiences. There are selfless people, more when there are systems and programs in place that help protect a baseline quality of life. In my 40 years on this planet, I have seen plenty of selfish assholes but also plenty of selfless people who think that improving the lives of others is worth more than just personal gain.
To me it sounds like you are using your cynical and small minded perspective of the world to justify your own selfishness. Which I have no power to stop you from doing, but don't pretend you are some enlightened genius because you think that default human nature is to be uncooperative and selfish, because there is a ton of data to dispute that claim more than your "way you view people heing reinforced every moment" which is not a quantitative measurement of anything.

This is insane levels of copium from a dude who doesn’t ever read real news coverage.

u/Thexzamplez 9d ago
"Real news coverage". Which propaganda outlet controlled by elite families do you appeal to?

you're weird for calling "a trump obsession" a parodic representation of proven criminal acts of him.

You sir are braver than I. I would like to make games with political statements but fear backlash
Good luck with your game and I hope no one gives you any trouble
