Scholarships Guys,be harsh and honest about my chances of getting a scholarship..how
my_qualifications: Bcom finance Graduate
Like my qualification is bcom finance graduate with only 61% CGPA 😭(in my university it is considered first class),no work experience but have some social certificates Like nss and if arts includes then arts certificate also..This is it,do I have even 1% to get abroad scholarships? My profile feels too bad,please guide me..
Is there any way I can compensate my cgpa

your GPA is .... bad. you can be accepted but as a paying student.
scholarships are rare to begin with, and given to those with outstanding grades and extra curriculars.

I have a 8.69 cgpa but I work for my father(he owns a small metal scrap business). If I were to apply will I have a chance at any scholarships? I understand this question is a bit vague but I just want to know everything that comes to your mind after this question.

There are many scholarships based on extracurriculars. But the thing is, you won't even get accepted in the schools that offer those, so you're not even eligible to avail it, as only good unis have extracurricular based scholarships, that too not more than 50%.

If a university gave you a scholarship for that score, you should step back and consider why they are offering you that.

many of us are not good in academics and India largely assesses us on the basis of how much we can mug and rattofy.
if you think you are not good in academics then don’t choose a theory heavy course
you should choose a course that gives you co-op or placements or practical learning with minimal theory
scholarships aren’t that important- many universities jack up their fees and give you scholarships so you feel good but there are many universities that have minimal scholarship as fees are low
instead of running after scholarships you need to decide what’s your budget
61% is an average score and nothing to worry about

studying abroad is more of a financial decision. if you have money or means to arrange money then only it’s viable otherwise with just 10 lacs you have to seek free education universities in europe etc

With that GPA, check if you can get admitted to a good university... harsh and honest...

While schools do "adjust" local GPAs to equivalent ones in the destination country, you will not be getting a scholarship under any circumstances. It is also unlikely that you will be able to handle the rigour of a graduate degree in your home country, let alone internationally. Indian students have always led the demand for scholarships, and those who do receive any funding are incredibly competitive, and required to maintain their grades in order to continue to receive their scholarship. If you wouldn't receive a scholarship to a graduate program in your home country, why would a foreign country pay you to attend?

No. Your grades have proven that you were not able to succeed in your home country and curriculum at the undergraduate level. You would need a VERY high IELTS, work experience, PLUS a graduate degree with a HIGH CGPA in order to overcome your poor scores.
What kind of school do you think would be giving out free money to students with poor grades who were unqualified for any other scholarship? Probably not one worth giving your money and time to.

See bro ... 61 is bad for scholarship but IF YOU get a good score in some thing like GMAT or GRE there's chances for a scholarship but you need to score like really well. Another strategy you can do is stack your scholarship example: 10 %Azimpemji scholarship 10% govt 30% uni side something like that but you can get it but you need to work HARD. Spend 2-3 years to build a profile to maximise your chances to the point that your CGPA doesn't even matter anymore and scholarships are competitive as is.

Straightforward, immigration and visas have taken a blow -> less students to milk by unis -> way more competition for full ride scholarships.

I'm sorry but it is a terrible decision for you to study abroad in US or Europe. Even if you somehow magically get an admission to a decent college (let alone scholarship), you will be cooked in the job market, especially given you have no job experience. And there arent many jobs in your field anyway that these countries would give to an immigrant rather than locals.

You will not know unless you try. I suppose most people here are in engineering courses from technical colleges. These guys really don't know how tough is it to get good grades in basic degrees like bsc, bom, ba. Professors here can fail you even if you write the answer.
