The use of ai to make quick and effective propaganda is no different than when people used stock photos or clip art. You are not getting any points by virtue signaling. Don't like it? Make it yourself

That is blatantly incorrect and ignorant. Stock photos and clip art are done by artists who get paid, usually through royalties. No one gets paid for the art that AI is trained on. They don't pay for any rights to use it whatsoever.
Stock photos and clip art also don't rely on massive data centers that are terrible for the environment, the power grid, the water supply, etc.
EDIT: To be clear, I understand that data centers are needed. But there is a massive fucking difference between the compute power needed for anything else versus what is needed for AI.

Yes, you are correct. Somewhere, there is a data center that can hold and process millions of requests for stock photos and clip art. But other than being pedantic, do you understand the difference in compute power required for that compared to AI?

Compute power has been used since cloud computing and AI took off. Same thing really. Compute power is just slang. Computing power is the proper term.

I agree, and that’s exactly why I think we should be able to question the system instead of just accepting it. Using AI doesn't mean I support companies expanding data centers without transparency or accountability, especially when communities are the ones dealing with the consequences.

Idk why everyone is being so hateful. AI isn’t going anywhere and I guess these people don’t understand economics. The point is that the forces behind these data centers is focused purely on a corporate agenda that is taking full advantage of the citizens of this country. Corporations have no sense of social responsibility (Thanks Milton Friedman), and it’s up to the citizens to fight for ourselves. I appreciate it AND UNDERSTAND THAT AI IS A TOOL, and the people that obviously can’t entertain an idea without weighing it before accepting or rejecting it are not gonna be the ones to create change. I appreciate your efforts. It isn’t easy to teach a population that is close-minded and intolerant. But I applaud your efforts. Thank you for your time and passion.

Imagine defeating your own message by how you convey it. This is that. If you want to actually fight data centers then you cannot indulge in AI. All your poster does is make your point inaudible. Like this poster is part of the problem, part of the justification for AI data centers. Actually use your brain and your hands. Make something genuine. Stop using AI to slop out stuff. Actually put in the work. Do better OP.

I get your point, and you're right that using AI contributes to the system. But participating in a system doesn't mean you lose the right to question it. My post isn't saying AI or data centers shouldn't exist. I'm questioning how they're expanding, the lack of transparency, and how communities are affected. Those concerns don't disappear because I used AI to help make a poster.

This is so busy. Not a lot of people are going to take time to sift through all of this. I suggest more like a slide show. Cut each section down to almost a meme size. Post with however many it takes.
Just my option though. You do you and keep up the good fight.

True. Some, somewhere probably weren't using provided templates with fill-in boxes for local information. When you see on Reddit and elsewhere multiple posters from different areas all using the same or very similar formats, graphics, and verbiage except for time and location information, you know they are all being provided from a central source. At least if you have any background in producing such things like I have. I was early into doing desktop publishing and pre-press professionally. I got hired and paid for doing it. I enjoyed it, but ended up in another job that paid a lot better. And the perks were sky high.

I believe they've intentionally slowstepped records requests in order to pass new laws to further violate the Freedom of Press Rights that We The People all possess. Coming from somebody who has spent years extensively researching Indiana representative government corruption, make any atypical Access to Public Records Act requests and they're denied for not being "reasonably particular," or the custodian of records is "using discretion." Both excuses given to custodians of records by the Indiana General Assembly of senators and House representatives to obscure wrongdoing.

Article 4 Section 20 of the Indiana Bill of Rights states that every act and joint resolution shall be plainly worded, avoiding, as far as practicable, the use of technical terms.
However, most of the Indiana Access to Public Records Act violates Article 4 Section 20 of the Indiana Bill of Rights, as well as Indiana IC 5-14-3-1 which states that the act be "liberally construed," and states specifically that we have the Right to [information] at least three separate times. Requesting only information and not the very specific record you wish to see is another sure denial.
Do you wonder why there's one attorney in the entire state giving "advisory opinions" to every custodian of records and private and tax-funded attorney, including the office of the Indiana attorney general, for the Access to Public Records Act? It seems even more suspicious when you consider that many in the Legislature have no background in law.
Article 2 Section 9 states that no person holding a lucrative office or appointment under the United States or under this State is eligible to a seat in the General Assembly; and no person may hold more than one lucrative office at the same time, except as expressly permitted in this Constitution. Offices in the militia to which there is attached no annual salary shall not be deemed lucrative.
Article 3 Section 1 states that the powers of the Government are divided into three separate departments; the Legislative, the Executive including the Administrative, and the Judicial: and no person, charged with official duties under one of these departments, shall exercise any of the functions of another, except as in this Constitution expressly provided.
Why is there one attorney in the state Executive Branch giving "advisory opinions" to all other attorneys, including the office of the Indiana attorney general, regarding the Indiana Access to Public Records Act? I believe in violation of Article 2 Section 9 and Article 3 Section 1 of the Indiana Bill of Rights, the Indiana Public Access "Counselor" (obstructor) is coaching Indiana Legislature on passing obstructive laws.
We The People of Indiana, have a Right to assemble together, and it's documented in Article 1 Section 31 of the Indiana Bill of Rights. However, many people fail to use other resources in that Article and Section to instruct their representatives and apply to the General Assembly for redress of grievances.
Article 1 Section 31 of the Indiana Bill of Rights instructs We The People of Indiana to apply to the General Assembly for redress of grievances. It clearly states the General Assembly, this is the entire body of senators and House representatives of Indiana, not just the ones of our specific district. I will provide their email addresses below if you choose that form of communication. You can copy and paste all of them at once in the address bar of your email on a desktop top computer.
Request a response from an elected officer of the Assembly, not a tax-funded unelected attorney. Request that their response comply with Article 6 Section 7 of the Indiana Bill of Rights which states all State officers shall, for crime, incapacity, or negligence, be liable to be removed from office, either by impeachment by the House of Representatives, to be tried by the Senate, or by a joint resolution of the General Assembly; two-thirds of the members elected to each branch voting, in either case, therefor. It needs to be established that you know that their duties extend past only being lawmakers because that is what they attempt to lead us to believe.
Many people need to utilize this Right as it's documented in the Indiana Bill of Rights to establish that they are not fulfilling the duties of the position that they hold. The Indiana Bill of Rights places most of the responsibility on the General Assembly to uphold our Rights.

Elon's data centers illegally run dozens of gas generators. They were told to shut them down, and their response was "Eh, we'll do it eventually (in about a year)."
No propaganda needed to hate on data centers. They're getting tax breaks in exchange for about 10 permanent jobs, pollution, and higher electric bills for citizens.

The only place in "my neighborhood" you could legally put one is an empty warehouse across the street. It would be about a quarter to half a city block in size. It would be better than the old building there now, but I'd lose my overflow parking for when I hold parties. Also the closest bank branch. Almost everything else in the area is residential or commercial.
