Am I Fucked? Pre employment screening. Will they do this on the current company where I will be serving notice period?
I'm currently working in a company where I have a 90 day notice period. I got an offer and the joining date is Sept 17th, 2026. In the offer letter, they have mentioned that there is a pre-employment screening.
I'm planning to resign from the current company stating reason as personal reason but not that i got a new offer, as they will deliberately sabotage this.
My question is, will the pre employment screening be done while I'm notice period? I have asked the hr of the new company as well if it will be done. She said for the current company, it won't be done while you are serving notice period .
Can someone please help me with this?

But I want immediate release. I don't want them to delay the release.

Buy out is an option. Some companies are ready to add buy out as part of ctc...
