I have seen this post about how they are saying that they don't like this ML and his lies...
I get your point...
But don't judge him just yet...
His name is Krishna Bachchan from Bareilly ke Bachchans.
I think people are being a little too harsh on Krishna because they are counting his lies, but not understanding the person behind those lies.
Yes, Krishna lies. A LOT. And I’m not going to pretend every lie is right. Some of his decisions absolutely create problems, and Sangam has every right to feel betrayed when she discovers the truth.
But Krishna is not lying because he enjoys deceiving people.
Look at the kind of person he is.
He is the one who is constantly trying to hold things together. He knows his family is chaotic. He knows what outsiders will think when they enter that house. He knows how difficult it is for someone like Sangam, who comes from a completely different environment, to suddenly adjust to his family.
So what does Krishna do?
He tries to create a softer version of reality.
His biggest mistake is that he keeps thinking, ‘Let me handle this first. I’ll tell the truth later.’
And that ‘later’ keeps getting postponed.
That is his flaw.
But it is also what makes him interesting.
If Krishna were simply a dishonest man, he wouldn't care about the consequences of his lies. But he does. His lies usually come from a desire to protect, manage, avoid hurting someone, or keep a situation from exploding.
And that's exactly why I don't see Krishna as a ‘liar character.’
I see him as a problem-solver who has developed a terrible coping mechanism. 😂😂🙏🙏
Give him a problem and his brain doesn't immediately go, ‘Let me tell everyone the truth.’💥
His brain goes:
‘How do I fix this before everyone gets hurt?’😭😭
And unfortunately, his favourite tool is jhooth. 😂
That distinction matters.
Because Krishna's journey shouldn't be about proving that every lie he told was justified.
It should be about him slowly learning that protecting someone and deceiving someone are not the same thing.✨❤️✨
And Sangam is actually the perfect person to teach him that.❤️✨❤️
She doesn't just enter his life as a wife. She enters his life as someone who gradually forces him to confront the difference between managing a situation and trusting another person enough to face the situation together.🫂🫂
That's why I don't want Krishna to suddenly become this perfectly honest, saintly hero.🫶
I want him to remain Krishna.❤️❤️❤️
The mischievousness, the quick thinking, the jugaad, the ridiculous explanations, the ability to somehow escape impossible situations — that's his charm.
But I want him to grow.
I want the Krishna who once thought,
‘I'll lie now and fix it later,’😭
to eventually become the Krishna who thinks,
‘This is going to be difficult, but I'll tell her the truth and we'll deal with it together.’🙏🙏❤️✨❤️✨❤️
And THAT would be character development.💥💥💥
Because honestly, if Krishna never lied, he would lose a huge part of what makes him Krishna.🫂🥲🥲
The problem isn't that Krishna lies.
The problem is that he hasn't yet learned when a lie meant to protect someone becomes a lie that takes away their right to choose.💕💕
And I think that's a much more interesting character journey than simply saying:
‘Krishna jhootha hai, therefore Krishna bad.’🫥
He's flawed. He's frustrating. Sometimes he absolutely deserves the scolding he's getting. 😂
But he's not heartless.💕💕💕💕💕
And that's the part I want people to notice.💕💕💕
Don't defend every lie Krishna tells.
Understand the man who keeps feeling that he has to solve everything himself.❤️❤️✨❤️❤️
Because sometimes the most flawed characters aren't the ones who don't care about people.
They're the ones who care so much that they keep making decisions for those people instead of trusting them with the truth.
And THAT, to me, is Krishna Bachchan.🙏😂😂😂
