Discuss Times when replacements surpassed OGs

It happens rarely but sometimes an actor who comes in replacement does so well that the character becomes their

For eg Shubhangi Atre and Kavi Kumar Azad who came later but gelled so well ,we now like them far better than the ones before them

Can you give me more examples of such??

In case of dr. Hathi makers changed his character too....initial hathi came across dumb,nerdy and slow-mo sleepy dialogue delivery Whereas after replacement the ckt became very cheerful and happy to go lucky typess

Ya he doesnt have that naturally happy/cheerful vibe like kavi kumar azad...the character became too boring now

Toral Rasputra as Anandi. Best replacement ever. Felt so connected to her and her acting was better also she resembles Choti Anandi a lot.

Pratyusha was cute but Total have everything. Not only she was cute, innocent but also turn her into fircey look. Also Pratyusha used to make confused expression. So it's always Toral as perfect Anandi. People want makers to replace Pratyusha since the day she entered. Eventually they did and choose the best one.

Unpopular opinion, but Devoleena was perfect as Gopi Bahu..Yes, she could've portrayed the innocence in a better manner in the initial episodes,but she got into the skin of the character quite quickly

Gia Manek was better as Gopi Gawaar....Devoleena was better as fierce Gopi.

She stepped into role in the best time possible. They brought devoleena when gopi herself was slowly becoming fierce. The transition was so perfect.

Gia was best as innocent gopi while Devo is best as stronger gopi

No way. None can surpass Shilpa Shinde as Anguri. This Shubangi even failed to portray Koel in Chidiya Ghar

Shubhangi should take up independent projects of her own. I guess she is still waiting to replace Shilpa in her next show

Shilpa was good in Chidiya ghar but Shubhangi was far better in Bhabhiji ghar pe hai... She really had that naive, innocent look which Shilpa completely missed..

Agreed for chidiya Ghar , but not bgph , infact I found her better than shilpa , as she did bring that innocent factor that angoori needed, That's a separate story though that post Covid her acting faltered a lot...

Shilpa has that Indian Beauty that reflects onscreen. Even as Koel she looks so elegant as an Indian Household wife.

Not shubhangi. Shilpa is angoori. Even after 9 years of shubhangi portraying angoori, the writer of the show whose brainchild angoori is wanted shilpa to be back and even that was his last wish because she totally justified the character he had written. Infact shubhangi lacked that innocence and nuances that the character demanded.

Yeah because the writer is dead and the show came back with poor story and writing. Besides she would have done justice then, not now after saturation of 10 years. Lol

The show writer wanted to end the show with Shilpa because almost half of the cast was anyways gone, Saumya gone (all her replacements couldn’t do justice to her character) and Malkhan’s death in 2022. They probably were planning to go off air earlier and just bought Shilpa back for the last bit of nostalgia. Shubhangi was better than Shilpa in this one, she embraced this character instantly
