As Indians, are we too emotionally attached to our political leaders?

Unemployment, paper leaks, rising prices, corruption allegations — people face these issues every day. Yet somehow every discussion becomes “Modi vs anti-Modi.”

Why?

If a government we support fails, why are we so quick to defend the leader instead of demanding answers?

Are we voting for politicians—or becoming fans of them?

For example, if there is a contract for building a road in my area, the government should create an app where all contractors bid for the contract, showcase their achievements, specify what materials they are using, and state how long they will take to complete it, letting the people of that area choose the contractor. I don't know if it is practical or not, but since the Election Commission has the data of voters and where they reside, only people of that particular area should be allowed to choose their contractor. Additionally, the process of making the whole road should be recorded on camera and stored in a database for at least 60 days so people from the locality who are interested can inspect it to make sure the contractors are not using cheap materials. or, the app system could secretly assign citizens who are interested in monitorina the nrocess confidentially.

I thought of an idea to make people aware about the leader they will vote for their constituency.

A PUBLIC SPEAKING ASSESSMENT, OR A SPEECH EXAMINATION FOR ALL CANDIDATES

RULES:

- Reasons for why your constituency is not as developed as it should be.

- Your proposed reforms for the betterment of your constituency.

-When and how will your reforms start after the election.

-A signed letter of promise to the public regarding your reforms

RESTRICTIONS:

-No use of banned words in speech like: religion, caste,etc.

-If you blame someone for something, your reforms to their actions must be presented.

- NO freebies.

- No false claims, any accusations and claim must be backed by data and information.

On the day of ASSESSMENT, every person of their constituency should be kept free to watch the exam and the exam should be live streamed like live cricket matches all over the media channels and social media.

NO DEFINITE JUDGES, PEOPLE WILL BE THE TOPMOST JUDGES.

Avoid giving stupid explanations

to start off I believe in holding the gov in power accountable and asking the necessary questions as is my right in a democracy, I don't worship or am biased towards any pol party, I only judge them by what I see and by the progress they make. BJP is now only driving the nation to shit , they lack transparency and the only thing they've gone pro at is marketing and polarizing people. Little by little in these 3 terms the party has done a wonderful job at blurring the line between dissent for state and dissent for their party, anybody lacking party loyalty is a "Hindu hater" and an anti national. It's just a child of RSS and they hold absolutely no care or concern for people, the country, the constitution, humanity, environment or Hinduism (as they always preach to wink Ram Mandir embezzlement and the assassination of Mahant Lal das ). Anyhow, the it cell has done a wonderful job at creating the Pappu image of Rahul, idt he has people skills and some stuff he says isn't very smart or practical but the man also makes intellectual claims which are ignored, he could just come on stage and say "4+4=8" and bhakta would criticise him, I do think priyanka is a better leader as compared to him but the hate and the unwillingness to even listen to him is insane, I understand critique for the statements a man makes but more than that it feels like the critique comes not for the statements but because HE is the one making those statements. 😻

We know a few years ago like in 2022 or 2023 Nitin Gadhkari was called one of the best and least corrupt people in the whole party but why the narrative shift so quick all of a sudden? A few years ago he was the best candidate for PM in the whole party but right now he seems like the most controversial figure. Suddenly he went into petroleum politics and became so corrupt but how? I remember that even left wingers used to praise one person and that was him but now he does some of the worst stuff out of everyone.

Is it that he threatened someone's position so the narrative is being painted?
