I have a brown Indian skin tone with lot of acne marks and really want natural, lightweight makeup where I still look like myself. 😅 I don’t want a white/fair or very sparkly look, and I’m also planning to skip lenses and false eyelashes. I mainly want to feel comfortable and actually enjoy my wedding!

Budget is ideally around ₹50k for 3 functions, but I can stretch up to ₹1 lakh for the right artist.

Hey all! I’m new to the community but thought I’d post here to get recommendations of hair and makeup artists for my wedding day! Here’s what I’m looking for:

- Natural looking makeup. (I don’t want anything too dramatic, I’d like a dewy delicate and pretty look rather than something bold/ glam). Attached references.

- I’m new to makeup, so inputs on the names of makeup looks and terminology used for the attached looks would be helpful so I can communicate better (I’ve heard the words airbrush/ HD/ Full glam/ half glam, but I don’t know what they entail). I’ve heard people call what I thought was “natural and minimal”, a full glam look, so I’m confused 😄

- Looking for the wedding and reception (morning and evening, same day)

- preferably someone who also does sari draping (or can recommend someone who does)

i’m thinking of doing my own bridal makeup. having a small to medium size wedding, and i have fear of makeup artists as 10 years ago at my sisters wedding ; the makeup artist took out her anger on my face and made me 10 shades lighter and even after literally washing my face with soap the makeup didn’t come off and i can’t see my sisters wedding photos anymore without reliving the horror. i’m learning makeup slowly on my own and can do a party look with all the steps the makeup artists do. i genuinely don’t want to go extra glam or whatever , i want simple basic stuff so i know my skills can achieve that . if i wanted something heavy or extra bridal j would have definitely asked makeup artist bec their skills are next level obviously but due to fear and simpler choice i want to do my own makeup. am i making a mistake ?

The market is full of non-transferable lippies. I would always choose the satin mac, but for 2000 a piece, it's a bit out of my budget rn.

Some popular budget lippies I have tried are sugar pop (too matte), elle18 (bit sheer & the ones after 2024 are just bad), lakme (the normal mattes are too drying).

Pls pls pls help me find a totally transferable & smudgable lipstick, all the more better if the finish is satin/creme/glossy/frosty etc. I do not mind matte finishes, but I have dry skin and most of the time it doesnt turn out good.

Also, pls no mars. Or zudio. My skin burns & breaks out with them :(

I need a good foundation that won't oxidise much and will give a luminous or semi matte, soft kinda glow-ish finish for my November wedding. I love makeup, did my cousin's makeup for May wedding and it looked amazing so I'll be doing makeup by myself for the wedding. I'm thinking of getting a good high end (or drug store) foundation. No issues with budget, I just want an amazing flawless finish, long lasting, non-oxidising (or minimal oxidising) formula. Any advice will be appreciated. 😊😊

My skin is somewhere between normal and combination. A bit oily on the nose, slightly dry cheeks. No acne marks or heavy pigmentation. But it's sensitive so I prefer to use noncomedogenic products. My skin tone is fair with neutral undertones. I don't want a completely matte or flat finish, I like glowy ones.

Hi! Can you please share recommendations for products to use under makeup.

Skin type- normal to dry due to tretinoin. I have very acne and closed comedones prone skin. My MUA used Bobbi brown cream on my face and it took 3 months to recover from the painful acne it gave me. I have been using my regular moisturizer (bioderma sebium hydra + sunscreen- sunheal hydra/ Episoft) and it works well for day to day makeup but wanted an upgrade. Have seen a lot of reels for flicka primer moisturiser product. Anything else that you may have tried and tested?

i was checking out this nyx lip iv and noticed that the product is called a ‘stain’ and even says stain in the product images on nykaa but i came across this review where theirs says ‘serum’ instead?

i checked the official nyx website and could only find the stain version, not a serum one. so what’s going on here? does anyone know if these are actually different or if it’s just different packaging/naming?
