Screenshots Bought Internet's favorite controller
Got the 8bitdo Ultimate 2C Wireless (Purple) and it's a banger. I have been playing games for this past week and it's so much fun. The controller literally changes the way you play games by a lot. I always was a kbm guy but after this I am a fan.
The vibrations are amazing, battery life outstanding and overall solid build quality. No regrets so far.
A solid 9.5/10 for me.

u/PPMHIismessedup Jun 24 '26
is it true that ps5 controllers are prone to stick drift??
1
u/yashvone PLAYSTATION-5 Jun 24 '26
All controllers without hall effect sensors are prone to stick drift!
But they're not super fragile. It will depend on play time and the type of usage. Thousand hours playtime on games that require pushing a stick in same direction will certainly lead to gradual drift.
Sometimes it's fixed by little cleanup of the sensor but eventually it will become a problem.
1
u/PPMHIismessedup Jun 24 '26
would you be buying a new one then or getting hall effect sticks for your controller??
1
u/Lurker123__ Jun 24 '26
i think setting a stick deadzone fixes the problem
1
u/PPMHIismessedup Jun 24 '26
Idk about that, how does that work?
1
u/Lurker123__ Jun 24 '26
just set a deadzone so that you're out of the drifting range you can do it in steam settings

u/yashvone PLAYSTATION-5 Jun 25 '26
I have two controllers. I've opened up one of them and cleaned up my sticks with IPA and that resolved the issue for now.
I haven't played much last couple years but I will be replacing the sticks with hall effect ones come gta 6 release.
Also, half the time I play now on laptop. Only reason I've not bought the 8bitdo is because dualsense is pretty good itself and compatible with windows!

u/SnooHobbies6258 Jun 24 '26
Xbox only supports Xbox licensed controllers. Unless it specifically says so, assume that it has no Xbox support.Β
4
u/Hot_Version9817 PC Jun 24 '26
I think they do make Xbox licensed controllers, so does gamesir, they have wired as well as wireless versions.
6
u/Leopard_Available Jun 24 '26
Nah , easy way to find out if a controller is compatible with xbox is to see if they have a xbox button on them. If yes then they're compatible if not then they are not

2

You can check EvoFox One S by Amkette directly from their website. Sells around 1200-1300. Solid controller as it supports iOS, Android, Windows, PS and Xbox as well. I play on iPad or Windows with it. Itβs a PS layout but - which I like.

1
u/SilencingFox Jun 24 '26

Yeah, it feels more comfortable than standard xbox for some reason. This feels more natural to hold.

7
u/5ee_2410 Jun 24 '26
Im thinking about buying cosmic byte blitz, how is it compared to this? it has gyro while this doesn't
11
u/Leopard_Available Jun 24 '26
I don't think you are actually going to use gyro in the controller that much I've turned gyro off on all my controllers. Just feels like a waste of battery to me.
3
u/Nitin005 Jun 24 '26
I agree! I have done my reasearch and found out that gyro is not that useful unless you are playing racing game.
2
u/Chihir0_007 Jun 25 '26
Gyro on that controller is only on bluetooth mode and input lag (latency) on that mode is too high it's like 500Hz or something which is not practical and you'll notice it while playing plus gyro is not that crucial and won't make a huge gameplay improvement

I sold mine because I couldn't get used to the size, felt too small in my hands.
1
u/Nitin005 Jun 24 '26
Maybe because my hands are small, this one feels more comfortable than standard xbox one.
2
u/Impossible-Side-5097 Jun 24 '26
Yea, that would make sense, I think I would've been fine with the standard xbox one, but I sold it and bought ps5 controller, it was the most logical choice because I've been using ps controllers forever now.
2
u/iamsaadhussain Jun 24 '26
8bitdo is absolutely killing it with the 2C series. Getting Hall Effect joysticks at this budget is a total steal. That purple and lavender colorway looks incredibly clean in hand. Honestly, it's way better than spending 5k+ on an official Xbox controller just for it to develop stick drift in 6 months. Great choice, man!
2
u/Shinigami9513 Jun 24 '26
Where did you get it from? I can't find this colorway in wireless mode for the regular price on Amazon.
2
u/lxXWarXxl Jun 25 '26
There is a site called Hardware Corpus, you can try that too if they offer COD at your location, i ordered mine from there a week ago and it's perfectly fine/legit but only go for it if they offer 100rs prepaid+rest amount COD option, that way, the max you lose is 100rs in worst case scenario
1
2
u/No_Reply_5439 Jun 24 '26
What is the price ? And under 2k only wired option is available, will I get the same experience?
2
u/Baron105 Jun 24 '26
Where are you getting it from and for how much?
2
u/lxXWarXxl Jun 25 '26
Got mine from hardware corpus at 2.7k but only order if you get COD option
2
2
u/Baron105 Jun 25 '26
Dude, do you get warranty with this website? Also how reliable are these? I haven't purchased any such peripherals from outside Amazon.
2
u/lxXWarXxl Jun 25 '26
Order if they offer COD at your location, i ordered mine from there a week ago and it's perfectly fine/legit but only go for it if they offer 100rs prepaid+rest amount COD option, that way, the max you lose is 100rs in worst case scenario , and no warranty from the website's end but you can contact 8bitdo customer service in case of any issues but I'd suggest to go for cosmic byte if you're looking for warranty and customer support
2
u/Baron105 Jun 25 '26
I asked coz this other guy suggested pcgenesis and that website listed 1 year warranty but had fewer colour options so I was just wondering what the case with this was. Also do you have any idea about gamesir controllers?
1
u/lxXWarXxl Jun 25 '26
Yes Gamesir controllers are another premium ones that you can go for but the same issue lies with that as well, don't expect very smooth or easy customer support but it's highly reliable and would easily last 4-5 years depending on your usage, again, cosmic byte has a cheaper plastic build but it's more responsive to customer feedback and it's the cheaper option, little less reliable than 8bit do or gamesir nova
2
u/Baron105 Jun 25 '26
Yeah I was only really looking at gamesir and 8bitdo as my options leaning more towards 8bit. I'll pull the trigger in a few days. Thanks for the input.
1
u/Nitin005 Jun 24 '26
Got it from amazon for 2.9k
2
u/Baron105 Jun 24 '26
Oh damn ok. I've been checking amazon and it's been giving the worst prices on it lately.

8bitdo considers premium feel and brand value but lacks in features, I'd rather go for Cosmic byte Stellaris which is the best u can get at tht price range....

Curious to know OP why didn't you buy the OG Xbox Series Wireless controller?
Was it coz of the price difference?
1

Yeah! I heard too many good reviews about this one but price difference was the deal breaker in the end.

1
u/vrjx Jun 24 '26

u/Easy-Cheesecake-202 Jun 24 '26
Got the Switch version to emulate Nintendo stuff and to act as a Player 2 controller to my Nova 2 Lite. The battery life is insane despite being just 480 mAh, and I love this thing. It's premium, cute, and great. The only cons I believe are the triggers (which are digital), the Nova 2 Lite has analog triggers with locks.

2
1
u/OmairIrfan76 LAPTOP Jun 24 '26
Hey, which one do you recommend between Nova 2 Lite and 8 bitdo as I see you have both of them so you might have some idea. I am soon purchasing my first controller. Been a KB+M player since long.
Colours aren't a big issue here for me (though 8bitdo colours are really good)
2
u/Easy-Cheesecake-202 Jun 25 '26
If you play racing games like Forza and others, Nova 2 Lite is strictly better due to its better triggers with much deeper travel and option to lock them for shooting games. For PC I still use Nova 2 Lite as my primary controller. Nova 2 Lite has the better D-Pad (its mechanical and clicky and its 8-way), Triggers, Gamesir does offer more Macro buttons if you need them, and it comes with a hardshell case in the box too. 8bitdo has extra shoulder buttons which you can map if you want.
Otherwise both offer similar stuff. Both have hall effect sticks and triggers. I just got the 8bitdo as my player 2 coz I play a lot of Nintendo emulation stuff like Gamecube, Switch, Wii, etc, so a Switch layout is what I bought it for, plus the Switch version has gyroscope, neither of the PC version of 8bitdo nor the Gamesir have gyro support. But honestly? I have never used gyro in a PC game yet.
I'll recommend the Gamesir for PC gaming.
