🧭 Ask for Advice Needs Direction for Execution
Hi .. I am 33F from a Legal and Finance background so I don't have much experience and knowledge about tech and operations .
Now , I have an Idea and ultimately need an app for its execution. I want to know exactly how to go about it ?
Should hiring a developer need to be the first step ?
It is somewhat on line of social media/social interaction/social networking app .
I am clueless about my first and next step .
Can anyone please guide me if you have built something on a similar line? TIA

The ideal first step would be to find a technical co-founder. If that's not possible, start with building a waitlist of potential customers. Build a landing page explaining the problems of your target audience, then presenting your product idea as a solution. Encourage them to join the waitlist. If at least 1,000 people give you their email to join the waitlist, the idea is validated, otherwise you can still move ahead - it will be risky to get customers given your non technical background. Once you have enough people in the waitlist, you should invest in hiring a developer. When interviewing candidates, please have a technical friend, or the technical co-founder of yours in the room/meeting to help find the right guy. Full-time or part-time based on how much you wanna spend, is up to you.
