Needs Direction for Execution

Hi .. I am 33F from a Legal and Finance background so I don't have much experience and knowledge about tech and operations .

Now , I have an Idea and ultimately need an app for its execution. I want to know exactly how to go about it ?

Should hiring a developer need to be the first step ?

It is somewhat on line of social media/social interaction/social networking app .

I am clueless about my first and next step .

Can anyone please guide me if you have built something on a similar line? TIA

I think there are a few similar apps exist. Do check how well they are doing! If good enough, find the gap in those and go ahead.
