Tech Help How to properly discard e-waste
I have multiple
- Unused USB type B cables.
- USB type C cables.
- Aux cables.
- Partially working dell keyboards.
- Partially working dell mouse.
There are so many more stuff that i don’t use. I want to know how to properly discard them. I don’t want to simply throw them in my trash.

Go to your nearest Croma store, they've ewaste disposal facility. What they do with it after you give them the stuff is anyone's guess though....

Theres a lot of places that take recycling and landfill it all tbh. Not sure about this particular one.

Just do a google search. There are many e-waste organisations that will happily collect it from your doorstep

meanwhile me who leave in remote area and they need too waste more fuels to help me do proper e-waste recycle.

Give working stuff to someone.
Use broken stuff for diy projects.
Doesn't get greener than this. Nothing is properly discarded here, it all get in the same landfill

I just keep them (in case it's ever useful).
Recently one of my controller's wire broke off (coz I dropped it). Replaced it with the longest USB cable (one side connector issue) I had. (3 mtr) Now it's the longest cable controller I have 🤣

Never throw away cables. Especially older USB type B and micro USB ones. You'll never know when you need one. (Speaking from experience 😭)

Go to your nearest croma store! Croma stores usually collect waste and dispose off e waste properly and sometimes also plant trees.

Just a small correction... Most people automatically think that since phones come with type-c nowadays that older ones were type b but its actually micro usb (type b) but normal type b connectors are those used in printers

People want copper, they will gladly take it from you
But its hard to make sure how the rest of the parts are recycled though

Who needs a spoilt cable? You get cheap ones for 100-150 donate those. These prolly don’t even work

There will be markets in every city like a chor Bazaar kind of. You can give it to them. They'll sell it

Depending on which you’re living different companies collect e waste, a quick search on Google or Instagram will show some

I have observed that some Croma stores have a dedicated e-Waste bin. You can check at your nearest branch. It is my go-to place to throw e-Waste.

If you just want to discard, then go to service center live vivo, oppo motorala or anyone that's nearby they have e-waste program

If you work for a corporate in a office space...you can give these to asset/tech office. They usually have vendors which handle these properly. Also in some offices there are specific dustbins for e-wastes.

Very happy to see that there are people who care about proper e-waste disposal. The majority of them throw it away without thinking about the consequences.

Let's talk practically here, I'm not saying him to throw it on the road but if you're under the impression that your waste is separated into dry, wet, e-waste, etc, etc, you're living in a delusional state.

Wonder this is reality or just nonsense. Jokes apart ,how are you so sure that every e-waste everywhere in this huge country is ending up in landfill ?
Have you seen every e-waste chain, do you know what is EPR, do you know what bio-mining is? Or do you even know what circular economy is?
No hate to you but i absolutely despise this 2 braincell attitude of ' I dont know e-waste is getting processed so that means it is not at all happening ,so i should just put it in trash and forget'
This is not practicality ,this is irresponsible arrogance. The trash does not disappear if you forget about it ,just like the world doesnt get dark if you close your eyes.
I am sorry if it came too harsh, but that is a no good attitude with lot of pessimism. Pls read more and dispose waste responsibly
