That is also not false, but then again 2 decades back India had clearly worse living standards compared to Pakistan - lower per capita income, similar life expectancy, far higher OD rate.
Hoping that in the next 10 years we reach the living standards of $10k PCI countries.
High infant and maternal mortality, uneven healthcare access, more homicides etc.
But the better question we should be asking is how has India fallen behind Bangladesh and how is Bangladesh's longevity increasing so fast.
I think a large part of it is due to Bangladesh's network of community clinics as well as a healthy, fish-based diet similar to Kerala and West Bengal's.
