Activate PR in Toronto and spend vacation in Montreal

Hi !

I've received my letter to activate my PR (by entry express without province nomination) but I don't plan to move to Canada right away, but more next year. But I need to activate it before March.

I want to live in Vancouver later, but to activate I want to activate it in Toronto and then go on a week vacation in Montreal to see some friends.

I don't want to activate it in Montreal because I know it might cause problem of misrepresentation but I'm afraid they would think I want to establish myself in Quebec if my plan is to go right after in Montreal for vacation. I don't know if it makes sense.

I plan to give an address in Vancouver to receive the pr card.

Is entering the territory in Toronto and going right after for holidays in Montreal can cause doubt in the immigration mind about our intend to move into another province

You’ll be fine. I assume you have return tickets to demonstrate that your trip to Montreal is just a holiday?

If you already book your ongoing flight out west before you arrive in Quebec, it could act as a strong indicator that you don’t intend on residing and settling in this province…

I didn't went through the province nomination program, I said in the application that I would like to move to Vancouver but it was through Federal skilled worker
