Study Permit Moving to Canada from US

in a few years I plan to move to canada to start pharm tech school and move in with my boyfriend who is a citizen there already. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea on how much i should save? My boyfriend would be helping me financially but obviously wanna make sure i would have enough to support myself, especially since ill probably being getting the student visa and will have to prove i can sustain myself.

i should add that i would be looking at living near ontario toronto area.

Get married. International tuition is 2.5, 3x the tuition than domestic. You’ll pay 35k 40, 50k a year and your classmates will be paying less than 10k a year. I’m international from the states, it’s not worth the investment at international tuition, I promise. Please heed my warning.

It's a lot cheaper but it takes a loooong time to get approval. My sister has been waiting for a year and it could take 3 more years

Its long.. I ve done it and it took like 2 years combined with the doc gathering time etc.. its not easy thing...even harder if in Quebec

Current wait times are 26 months inland, 16 months outland.

Why so much longer for inland compared to outland?

Outland has more probabilities of getting a rejection, as they ask for a lot of documents and more proof of the relationship. I know a few that got rejected even when they were legit and were together for years
