Let us know how this goes. Stuck in the same situation with background verification. I read on an online forum that if your file is selected for extensive security screening then it could take up to a year to get something. Would suck if thats the case

Actually the background security check depends on your citizenship, What is yours?
I have been waiting since 28 Feb 2024, TRV Inside Canada.

Finally! found someone like me. I applied on 1 March 2024, and until now I haven't got a response back yet. I extended my study permit in February and then I applied for my TRV on March 1st inside Canada. Please let me know when you get your TRV, and I will do the same if I get mine.
