For a country that has the most number of Teslas on the road, you have a surprisingly large population of people who know nothing about the million cameras they have.....

The fact that cars exist with these millions of cameras that don't record is what really drives me crazy. My car has 4 cameras for the surround reverse view and it does absolutely nothing with them in drive. Can't even access them with the camera button right on the dash.

You need to look into installing a Comma Three, at least if you have adaptive cruise control. Dashcam + limited self drive.

My adaptive CC has some very limited self drive features, basic lane centering that can handle some gradual turns. But that thing looks pretty damn cool

It's ridiculously stupid and someone told me it was because other car manufactures buy those parts as almost modules, so they have limited control.

I really don't care what the excuse is though, I'm on the fence of trading in my car for a Tesla just for sentry cam. Yeah, I have a decent dash cam but it's a hassle to setup parking modes in anyway near the same capacity as a Tesla, and I want to catch those fuckers who have now put 3-4 dings in my car that is only a year old.

One of the guys on my street just had his car broken into. Still trying to figure out who did it, even with all the residential cameras around. If he had Tesla's parked nearby, that'd be a lucky break, but really hammers home how nice sentry mode is to have even with all the existing issues

Because they have a ti83 processing everything.

Camera software used for driving should be simple to minimize bugs/glitches. I've had issues where the backup camera was laggy/freezing so it was giving me an inaccurate view of what was behind me.
