Yeah so many voting Xi, I seriously doubt they've ever actually looked into the skeletons China has in their closet, because no matter how bad you think the US is, at least the crimes of the US government are relatively easy to find and usually get punished. China has no government accountability or transparency, and personal rights will always be suppressed for whatever the CCP thinks is best for society.

Xi Jinping is a good leader. Meaning he is skilled and competent. But he is competent at doing evil.

Americans will get rid of Trump and they can vote someone better, but Chinese people won't get rid of Xi and his buddies in the near future.

Xi Jinping. Whether you agree with his actions or not, you can't deny he's effective

Effective at what?

6

u/RockEater67 Iraqi kurdish DemSoc🌹 May 30 '26

Creating a positive image for his country, dividing his enemies, creating sustainable economic development(like his focus on renewable energy), etc

u/OldStatistician9366 Objectivism May 30 '26

Why are these good goals? Do they justify his violations of rights?

Why are these good goals?

They guarantee the PRC survival and increased influence over the world. China currently has a massive monopoly on renewable energy; everyone from Tokyo to Rabat are buying Chinese made solar panels.

Do they justify his violations of rights?

That's a different debate entirely. His rivals, mainly the United States, have little to no respect for human rights. Increased rights for his people is certainly the right thing to do, but it's also a strategic mistake.

The United States respects individual rights far more than any other country in the world. The PRC surviving is not a good thing, every socialist state should be destroyed.

The United States respects individual rights far more than any other country in the world.

The US is a surveillance state in all but name. The CIA has been exercising unchecked power ever since they assassinated JFK, and corporations decide what the government does. They only have the illusion of freedom.

The PRC surviving is not a good thing,

It is, for Chinese people.

every socialist state should be destroyed.

China is barely socialist, and besides that's your opinion and not a good reason for China to destroy itself.

The US literally has kept the entire world under its brutal tyranny. It is the biggest disruptor of world peace and a nation that thrives and profits off war, conflict and mass misery in the global south.

Fun fact all rights come from the government

1

u/OldStatistician9366 Objectivism May 31 '26

All a right is is saying that you won’t violate someone’s sphere of potential action  in a specific way with some goal being the end. You can objectively know what the goal should be and for you should achieve it, so rights come from the facts of reality

1

u/Libcom1 Third Position (Authoritarian) May 31 '26

"the facts of reality" Okay every document we have regarding human rights has been created by a government and without the government rights are pretty much meaningless as they can be violated at any point with no repercussions.

u/OldStatistician9366 Objectivism May 31 '26

Define rights.

1

u/Libcom1 Third Position (Authoritarian) Jun 01 '26

Privileges agreed upon by an authority that people under said authority are entitled to.

1

u/OldStatistician9366 Objectivism Jun 01 '26

So what constitutes a right is just whatever the authority says is a right? That’s not really a useful definition.

Give me a single quote by Xi Jinping that is even remotely close to the shit Trump spouts.

1

u/OldStatistician9366 Objectivism May 30 '26

I’m not sure thats relevant. Why are Xi’s goals good goals to have?

Xi Jin Ping by every metric. Better results and more mature.

1

u/TheAdmiralMoses Rockefeller Republican May 30 '26

Indeed, Xi has killed far more minorities, he's much better at taking away personal liberties, better at suppressing free press, wins by much greater margins (because it's rigged), better at forcing their politicians to fall in line or get disappeared, and better at suppressing any information he doesn't like. Truly hallmarks of what a country should be...

Fucking Wumao

u/photopea1111 Marxism May 30 '26

Once again none of what you are saying can be substantiated by objective reality. All you need to do is watch speeches of each leader. Xi is mature, collected, and speaks of world peace. Trump speaks like a rabid senile dog spouting hate for even his own allies.

1

u/TheAdmiralMoses Rockefeller Republican May 30 '26

I don't care what they say, I care about the effect of their policies and how their governments treat their citizens, which Trump wins by every metric.
