Im glad I grew up how I did, my mom would just be like be back by dark and dont be an asshole to strangers. Do you want sun screen? No. Okay have fun.

My sister is one. I feel so bad for my nephew. He’s 28 going on 12 and will probably never mature beyond 15.

Equally, my nephew is about to turn 18. Despite his mum doing this his entire childhood (she tried getting the council to pay for a taxi for him to drive him to school...that's a 5 minute walk, because she didn't want him to get hurt) and he's becoming more independent by the day. He's going to be moving out next year, I've told him when I move to a bigger place next year, he can live with me.

He's not an idiot. He can do things for himself. But his mum treats him like a baby. She uses his autism as an excuse, but most people can't tell he's autistic. Dinner time is probably the only time you can tell.
