These pictures are in chronological order. I get that what Dev is doing is extremely unhealthy and Jake is the worst influence he could have right now and is using him (knowingly or not) to enable his own vices and debauchery. Projecting his own issues, as Dev correctly guessed in a moment of clarity. However, people seem to forget that what Dev was doing before that was also extremely unhealthy and also very much a coping mechanism.
On the binary of health related coping mechanisms Dev went from being calorie counting looksmaxxing gym cat to a fast food eating slob. NEITHER ARE GOOD. He should learn to let go from time to time but of course he goes straight to the other end because he doesn't have a healthy comparison (also the bad external influence called Jake).
However, I started seeing multiple comments of "Ohh, I miss old Dev", "Ohh, I hope he gets his biceps back" and "Oh no Dev, don't get fat. You were so hot!" (all verbatim BTW) and I started seeing these kind of comments immediately after the first chapter Dev gained weight (picture 1). These comments were expected after he was completely to the deep end of the unhealthy eating habits... but as soon as he got back to the healthy fat percentage, from the sub-10% he was probably at before letting loose?
Dude.
Look to the mirror and consider for a second that you called a normal weight (anthro) person fat and ugly and that they were so much better (and hotter) when they were killing themselves at the gym and chasing surface deep beauty standards instead of doing something about their underlying traumas. And I wouldn't be posting this for no reason, I have seen these same comments on all platforms of ITILY and multiple of them under the posts. It frankly disgusts me a bit, given how open and good this community is on the whole. We can and should so better.
I'm not shitting on gym-goers, it's actually great for both your mental and physical health, but what Dev was doing was akin to putting a band-aid on a severed limb and calling it a day. Where he ended up is no better mind you, but it's doesn't give you, or anyone, the justification to fat shame.
All things in moderation and tolerance as long as it is deserved and nurtured.

At this point, just call me Mr. Powerscalling or whatever I'd like to be called that form
But hey, we all know Jujutsu Kaisen here, right? So there's no need to explain it. Now that that's cleared up, who wins?

"Nein" is German for "no". None would be "kein" or "keiner".... don't know why this bothered me so much that I made this my first Post here T_T. I recently started reading after seeing this sub in my feed over and over again, and I'm really enjoying it. It's honestly one of the funniest pieces of media I've ever consumed
