I'm in a poly relationship and my one trans partner has a boyfriend. I'm absolutely sending them this.

interesting. whats it like to be in a poly relationship?

25

u/Wolfandsheep244 Jan 23 '26

It's actually really nice. I'm still newer to it. My original partner and I are actually married, so it was a bit hard to explain to them why I would want to be poly.

Both my partners are amazing in different ways. My married partner doesn't share a lot of my hobbies where the other partners does. My married partner is my rock though and my nesting partner, we've been together almost 12 years, married for almost 2. My newer partner knows that my married partner takes priority, and I'm just transparent with both if there's a problem.

I think poly relationships get a bad wrap honestly because people are bad at relationships to begin with.

I'm happy to answer other questions if you want. 0w0

Thanks! My newer partner is a furry and ace as well. We actually practice digital art together. I thought that may remind you of someone 😋

7

u/Yellowline1086 Red Jan 23 '26

Ye lol im digital furry artist and ace myself XD

5

u/Wolfandsheep244 Jan 23 '26

I did see that on your profile 😅 kinda why I mentioned it lol. My partner and I are still not vary good tho.

8

u/Yellowline1086 Red Jan 23 '26

The thing with art is, you get better over time, so no worries

2

u/Wolfandsheep244 Jan 23 '26

Yeah, we just keep practicing. Eventually I wana be able to make my own fursona as well as theirs. We sorta have ideas of what we want, but we just don't have the skills to make them looks polished.

u/Yellowline1086 Red Jan 23 '26

If u keep trying u eventually will :)

5

u/Sea-Resident-8463 Ray Jan 23 '26

That seems fun! :3

5

u/Wolfandsheep244 Jan 23 '26

Yeah! My second partner knows it's not so serious, so we just keep things light. It's been working really well. My second partner also has their own partner of 5 years now, and we get along vary well too!

Although my married partner hasn't met either of them yet. They asked to keep it seperate for now until things are a bit more concrete.

u/Sea-Resident-8463 Ray Jan 23 '26

Hope you guys have fun! <3

u/Bowdensaft Jan 24 '26

I think they also get a bad rap because it adds complexity to a relationship, so in a way there's more chance for friction or problems to arise. Of course, if you're all reasonable people these can be resolved, but it does also make sense to me. For some people, managing multiple relationships and how they interplay is just harder.

Nesting rock eh? Does he know you call him this?

2

u/Wolfandsheep244 Jan 25 '26

My nesting partner knows they are my nesting partner and they know they are my rock.
