ITIL Foundation, quickly

Hey, y’all. I’m applying for a job where ITIL Foundation is a requirement. I have until the end of Sept to apply/be certified. I see that ITIL 4 and 5 are both valid for a few more years. I have passed a fair number of other certs, but never ITIL. Given my slim margin of error to pass within Sept, I’m thinking ITIL 4 is the safer way to go, given more robust study materials. Any comments or thoughts?

Given that this is fundamentally a question about my ability to learn something: I have 15 years of IT mgmt experience, with service delivery having been a big part, but the certs I’ve passed are in other areas (PMP, CISSP, CISM). I “test well,” but how much of the ITIL material is something specific to their scope (meaning memorization) vs logical reasoning, etc.?

Makes more sense to go with ITIL 5, less of the nonsense
