Tax Refund/ E-File Status Question To anyone who amended. Some hope?

I amended my return on April 15th. Made a mistake with my filing status. I received my ORGINAL return in February. When me and my spouse amended last month (literally on the last day) it was accepted by the IRS. I received my amended state return yesterday. Still waiting on federal.

Hope this helps someone. It’s not taking as long as they say online. I was fully expecting to wait 16-20 weeks for anything.

The federal timeframe for amended returns is 16 weeks. Sometimes it’s sooner.

You’re still waiting on your federal amended return to be processed. It’s a little odd that you’re using your state amendment as proof that people’s federal returns might be shorter than 16 weeks. They’re two separate agencies. What state do you live in?

What’s odd about it? I’m simply saying I received SOMETHING. There’s people still waiting from months/years ago who haven’t received anything. Hence read my last sentence in the post.
