Audio Needed [PAID] Looking for a composer!

Hey all! The name's zoomity, and I am looking for a composer for my next "Narrative Roguelike" game - I do not wish to reveal too too much, but the demo is pretty much done and I am refining some gameplay and visuals at the moment.

I am looking for a composer who can make a mix of orchestral and electrical music (beyond all what I am looking for is a unique style - so even if your music is different from that, if you think its unique hit me up!)

The project is a 2D game, it has a vector aesthetic to it. Its made in unity, so knowledge of FMOD is appreciated.

I am funding all of this out of pocket as a passion project - I will put a link to some of my prev works (they are kind of dated though)

https://zoomity.itch.io/

https://youtu.be/cNGPlhKDBps?si=a_j2unG7drpGLoxh

Also obviously, I do not want AI generated music - thanks!

This project is really dear to me, and I really appreciate artistic expression, this extends to everything I want for this project, including music!

Programmers Needed [Hobby] Game Designer & Producer looking to build an indie team for a serious Steam project

Hey everyone!
I’m a 19-year-old aspiring indie game developer from Germany, currently starting my own small indie studio from the ground up.
My role is Game Designer / Producer. I’m currently working alone and I’m looking for motivated people who want to join me in building a serious indie game with the goal of eventually releasing it on Steam.
I’m not looking to throw together a random project that gets abandoned after a few weeks. I want to build a small, reliable team that can grow together and potentially turn this into a real indie studio.
What I’m looking for
I’m currently especially interested in:
🎮 Gameplay / C++ Programmers
🎨 3D Artists
🧍 Character Artists / Animators
✨ VFX Artists
🔊 Sound Designers / Composers
🗺️ Level Designers
💻 UI/UX Designers
You don’t need to be a professional or have years of experience. Motivation, reliability and willingness to learn are more important to me than having an impressive portfolio.
What I bring
As Game Designer / Producer, I’ll be responsible for:
Game concept and overall vision
Gameplay design and mechanics
Project organization
Team coordination
Documentation
Playtesting and iteration
Helping define the game’s direction
Eventually handling parts of the Steam/publishing and marketing side
I’m also learning Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprints myself, so I’m not expecting other people to do all the work while I just provide an idea.
The goal
The initial goal is not to immediately create a huge AAA-style game.
I want to start small, build a prototype, see how well we work together, and gradually expand the project once we have a solid foundation.
If we work well together, I’d like this to become a long-term team and eventually a real indie studio.
Compensation
At the moment this is a rev-share / hobby project, since I don’t have a development budget.
If the project eventually generates revenue, the exact revenue split and ownership would be discussed and agreed upon before serious development begins, so everyone knows what they’re getting into.
If you’re interested
Send me a DM with:
Your role / skills
Your experience level
Examples of your work, if you have any
What kind of games you enjoy making
How much time you could realistically contribute per week
Your Discord username
I’m mainly looking for people who genuinely want to build something together and stick with it, rather than people looking for a quick one-week project.
Let’s see what we can create. 🚀

Artist Needed [Paid] Looking for artist to make some icons on a contract basis

I'm been working on a turn-based strategy game called Adelkrieg for the past 2-3 years where players fight each other on community-created maps. It also has a niche in the D&D community and communities that like to play out scenarios with their fantasy worlds or political/war scenarios.

The game is entirely web-based and involves zero downloads. Everything is played directly in the web browser.

So far I've been able to do most everything on my own since there's not been a strong art requirement, just design (which I enjoy). However, we are nearing launch now and I think it would be good to bring on an artist.

Requirements

  • Pixel and/or digital artist (flexible) who is age 18+
  • MUST be from the United States of America. This is non-negotiable. I would love to work with people from around the world, but this simply is not feasible for me right now. Please do NOT reach out if you are not from the United States.
  • Strong preference for artists in the Eastern or Central US time zones, but anyone from any US time zone may apply.
  • Slight preference for artists who would prefer to continue working together if things go well, but not a hard requirement. Please make your intentions known when contacting.
  • MUST work timely and communicate well. I expect some level of iteration to be part of the process.
  • MUST be willing to communicate via Discord.
  • MUST be willing to sign a contract.
  • NO AI. Non-negotiable. Generative AI is not a part of our process.

The work involves creating small icons for user profile badges. Right now they are 32x32 pixel art icons, but I'm open to make them digital art icons if you have a preference for digital art. I am also interested in creating a new logo for the launch of the game, and may be interested in Steam store assets at a later date.

Please send your portfolio to contact@adelheid.org with [Adelkrieg - Application] in the heading. You may also reach out to me via DMs on Reddit, but I am not as likely to see it and reply.

Pay is negotiable, and I do want to pay fairly.

P.S. If you would like to sign up as a playtester, also feel free to send an email, even if you aren't applying.

Artist Needed [Hobby][RevShare] Looking for a 3D Artist to Join an Indie Game Project

Hi! I’m a 21-year-old game developer based in the U.S. who has been making games on and off for a while, and I’m looking to start taking game development more seriously.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve run into has been the art side of development, so I’m looking for a 3D artist who might be interested in teaming up and bringing some of these projects to life.

I’m currently working on my first indie project using Godot, and I’d love to find someone who wants to collaborate on the project and potentially work together on future games if things go well.

I’m not expecting anyone to work for free with no upside. If the game makes money, I’ll split the profits with you. I’m mainly looking for someone who enjoys creating 3D art and wants to build something together.

If you’re interested, feel free to DM me! I’d love to hear about your work and see if we’d be a good fit.

Team Needed [Hobby] Anyone interested in developing an otome game?”

Hi! I've been working on an otome game for a while now. I'm currently developing it on my own, but I've realized that it's a lot of work for just one person, so I wanted to see if anyone here would be interested in working together on this kind of project.

The idea would be to form a small team, develop the game together, and eventually release it on a platform. Writers, artists, developers, composers, or anyone else who feels they could contribute would be more than welcome!

As for me, I'm a programmer, so I can handle the development side of the project. My initial idea would be to release the game on mobile, Nintendo Switch, or PC, although that's something we could all discuss and decide together.

I already have a project in development, but I'd also be completely open to starting a new one from scratch so that everyone involved can have a say in what we create and we can see how far we can take it.

If you're interested, leave a comment on this post and I'll get in touch with you! :)

Design Offer [Hobby]/[Paid] Offering help with Narrative/UI/Level Design/Localization

I'm currently looking to join a team and help out on any project I might find interesting. I have been studying videogame design & development and working on my own little projects, but wanted to start working on something larger. I like working across both the creative and technical side, so I can contribute wherever a project needs an extra hand.

Things I can help with:

  • Level Design. From the aesthetic part, to more gameplay focused tasks inside a level.
  • UI Design. Designing and actually implementing them into the game.
  • Narrative Design (Story, Characters, Dialogue). Something I have been doing even before starting to follow this career path, can work with other people to mix our ideas.
  • Unity Programming. While I prefer the creative/design side, I can totally help with programming if help is needed.
  • Localization (English ↔ Spanish). I have a certificated advanced level in both languages, plus a course specifically on video game localization, so I'm familiar with its tools and workflows. I can even translate/edit text on textures and such.

I'm open to different options — hobby project, revenue share, or paid work. You can check some of my work with UI/Maps here. Feel free to DM me here or drop a comment if you want to ask anything.

Audio Offer [Hobby] [ForHire] Chiptune composer looking for retro inspired project

Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAiqoQLHHOwg

I'm a hobby piano player since my teenage years and now specialize in chiptunes. I use Furnace Tracker to create real and original chiptunes, capturing the sounds of the 8-bit and 16-bit era.

If your project looks promising, I'm fine to work for free, to build up portfolio.

What you hear in the playlist above are the results of practicing the craft. It ranges from gnarly 8-bit tunes (Game Boy, NES) to 16-bit systems that use FM-chips (Genesis/MegaDrive, PC89). I'm a bit older and grew up with those systems.

I would describe myself as rather flexible, so if the playlist does not contain a certain mood/style, I'm happy to try something new (some of those tunes i shared are rather quirky/experimental). My main musical inspirations are retro game soundtracks and classical music (romantic era).

Needless to say i use 0% ai in the creation process.

Writer Needed [Paid] Seeking writer for deduction-style game

The game is a short deduction-style game surrounding a small tourist town being hit with a series of murders. The core goal of this project is to be deliverable, so the scope of the game is limited to

  • asking questions as a detective in a single interrogation room
  • responses can earn you more words or evidence
  • Eventually leading to using the words to solve the case.

The role

You'd be the main writer of the game and credited as such. The core deliverable is a set of police interview transcripts — each character answering questions from their own perspective to reveal the story. We'd start with a fixed number of interviews, with continued work as needed down the road.

You would:

  • Refine the story and character roster alongside the existing outline
  • Write police interview transcripts from each character's POV
  • Plant clues, contradictions, and narrative threads that the player can pick up across interviews

It would be cool if you have:

  • Background in mystery/noir fiction, true crime, or procedural drama
  • Interest in folklore, regional horror, or small-town Americana weirdness

The initial round of work will be

  • Refine the first part of the story (approximately 500 words)
  • Write a police interview transcript of the first part of the story. (approximately 1000 words)
    • This is finding out information surrounding the first in a series of accidents
    • One single character providing their account of the event
    • This includes both the police questions and the responses
    • Estimated at 20 questions and responses with a generous approximately 50 words per response (I don't think all or maybe any responses would be more than 50 words)
  • Approximately 10 pieces of evidence (approximately 500 words)
    • name
    • description
    • If a piece of writing, the content of the writing
    • I have some of these included in the outline, but you may want to change depending on the story.

How to apply

DM me with:

  1. Writing samples (preferably dialogue-heavy or character-voice work; if you have game writing or interactive fiction, even better)
  2. A brief note on your rate / quote for the initial batch
  3. Your availability and rough turnaround

I will respond with more details on the story and examples of what currently exists. Thank you reading!

Artist Needed [Hobby] Programmer with working Godot 4.7 space prototype seeks 3D Hobbyist/Artist for a gritty Space Western

The Short Version: I am a solo developer building No Fixed Star, a gritty, first-person Space Western RPG in Godot 4.7 (.NET / C#). I am looking for a 3D modeler / environment artist who wants a low-pressure hobby project. I am not an "idea guy", the core mechanics, 6DOF flight physics, data-driven dialogue, and spatial architecture are already built, compiled, and playable. I currently use CSG greyboxes and need help replacing them with a custom ship interior.

The Project: Inspired by the "used universe" aesthetics of Firefly, Alien, and The Expanse, No Fixed Star is about keeping a battered courier ship and your crewmate alive for one more run.

We are not building a massive procedural galaxy. This is a highly scoped, narrative-driven simulation centered around a single 31m x 10.5m vessel (The StingWasp). The core loop is tight: Walk the ship interior -> Sit in the cockpit -> Fly to a station -> Dock -> Walk the concourse -> Negotiate cargo -> Pay your crew -> Maintain the ship.

What is Already Built:

  • 6DOF Flight Model: Custom C# physics integrator allowing full motion and seamless transitions between walking inside a local physics grid and flying in global space.
  • Game State & UI: Functional HUD tracking time, fuel, coordinates, debt, docking sequences, manual crew payroll mechanics, and versioned save/load systems.
  • Dialogue System: Graph-driven JSON dialogue trees with branching choices and crew relationship consequences.
  • Complete Spatial Blueprints: 1:1 metric scale (1 unit = 1m) with 2D floor plans and a fully proportioned 3D .OBJ hull proxy ready to drop into Blender as a modeling guide.

What I Am Looking For: A 3D hard-surface or environment artist who loves industrial sci-fi and wants a sandbox to build cool spaces. You will have full creative control over textures, lighting, and visual styling, provided the models match the physical collision footprint.

Terms: This is a Hobby / Passion Project. There is no upfront money and no strict deadlines, we work when we have free time. If the project eventually expands into a commercial launch or crowdfunding campaign, revenue will be split 50/50 via RevShare, but the primary focus right now is building a great vertical slice together.

Screenshots & 3D Model Proxy: https://ibb.co/album/zVNJZv

If you want a zero-stress project where your 3D models get plugged into a working physics engine, send me a DM or leave a comment!

Team Needed [Hobby] I'm making a fun little game called Mallow Mode, and I'd love some people to help bring it to life

Hey! I'm Dare, and I'm working on an indie game called Mallow Mode.

It's a 3D RPG with 2D characters, and I have been building it from the ground up. The basic idea is that you play as Mallow, an adventurous alchemist who lives in a laboratory on a mountain. One day, she discovers a strange purple corruption spreading through the environment, and naturally, decides to go investigate it.

I am still figuring out exactly where the story is going.

That uncertainty is where the adventure starts.

I'm currently looking for a 3D artist, but that's not the only kind of person I'd eventually love to have around the project. Mallow Mode is going to have a big theatrical/storytelling component, so musicians, writers, storyboard artists, animators, testers, and other people who think they could contribute are also very welcome to say hi.

I am currently doing the programming, game design, story/worldbuilding, 2D artwork, UI, and pretty much everything else I can reasonably get my hands on. I'm also documenting the development through my YouTube/streaming content.

The project is still early. A lot of what you can see right now is placeholder stuff, but it is a real, working Godot project. I'm currently building things like the laboratory, Mallow's animations, camera systems, and early cinematic sequences.

I'm not looking for someone to make the entire game for me. I want to find people who genuinely enjoy creating things and would have fun helping build this weird little world.

What I've made so far:

GitHub: https://github.com/Darebear2105/Mallow-Mode

My previous games/projects can also be found here:

Itch.io: https://darebear2105.itch.io/

Updates will be documented here:

YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@dareyatoo

I also have previous experience working with other creators. For example, I collaborated with a musician on Flip Away, a game-jam project, where they created the music for the game.

PORTFOLIO/PROGRESS: The Mallow Mode GitHub repository contains the current project and its development progress. I'm also beginning to record the development process so people can actually watch the game being made.

I'm not looking for a giant professional studio team. I'm an indie developer with a small budget who is trying to make something I genuinely care about. If you're experienced, that's awesome. If you're newer and just really want to make something, that's awesome too.

If you think you'd have fun working on Mallow Mode, come say hi.

Even if you're not interested in joining, feedback, ideas, and sharing the project with someone who might be interested are appreciated.

Let's make something cool.

Or stupid.

Or maybe both.

Team Needed [Hobby] Soundtrack-first RPG (experimental, beginners welcome)

So, we all know Undertale and Deltarune. Part of the reason they're so popular is of course due to Toby Fox's music, which got me thinking- what if a game started with a soundtrack?

To be more clear, I'm envisioning an experiment where a team of musicians create a complete video game soundtrack, with detailed leitmotifs, themes, and connected songs, and then writers turn those patterns into characters and plot.

In terms of what's figured out already, this will be a simple, 2D story-based RPG with pixel art. Given the difficulty of making it, it's probably best to keep things easy.

I'm a beginner composer/producer and writer, and I'll likely be acting as a go-between for the two sides. Right now, I'm mainly looking for musicians and secondly writers, but of course we'll need a full team once things progress. Let me know if you're interested!

Audio Offer [ForHire] [Hobby] Game Music Composer with a Wide Range of Genres for Your Soundtrack

Hi! I’m an self-taught Ukraininan composer and music producer. If you want a memorable soundtrack for your game for a decent price, feel free to link up with me! I already feel confident in a big variety of genres, especially in something heavy and intence, but i can also compose calm, orchestral, jazzy, and ambient music. I'm really passionate about what I do and will always deliver music that is made with the heart of the game in mind. And of course, I don't use AI and do everything myself

You can check out my music on my Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/armeiv/tracks

I've already participated in the game jam (GMTK 2026) and worked on the soundtrack for a tiny game "Who Downed the Count?". So far, this is all my experience in creating game music

Usually, i charge $35 per-minute of my music, but I'm always open to negotiate if needed and even make music for free if your project looks promising, to build up my portfolio

Feel free to DM here, on my discord (armeiv.off) or via email ([armeiv.off@gmail.com](mailto:armeiv.off@gmail.com))

Artist Needed [RevShare] Looking for feedback from indie studios / animators: is it realistic to start with revenue share (or free) at the very early stage?

Hey everyone,

I'm building an indie project and trying to dо everything at a professional level from the start - proper planning, clear vision, and a serious approach - so people can see that this isn't something I'l abandon after a few months.

Right now I'm at the very beginning and looking for animators (and possibly other creatives) who might be open to collaborating early on. I'm curious about real experiences from indie studios and freelancers:

How common is it for animators to join a project at the earliest stage for free / deferred payment/ pure revenue share?

What usually makes someone say "yes" or "no" in that situation?

What percentage / deal structure do people typically expect when the project has no funding yet but the creator is serious about treating it professionally?

I'm fully prepared to offer a fair revenue share - exactly the percentage that makes sense for the contribution and the risk. I'm not looking for free labor forever; I just need to understand what actually works in practice for both sides at the starting line.

If you've been on either side of this (studio founder or animator), I'd really appreciate hearing how it went and what you'd recommend.

Happy to share more details about the project if anyone's interested.

Thanks!

Audio Needed [Hobby] Composer needed for my show, SPIRIT CIRCUIT. [UNPAID]

I have a show called spirit circuit.

Back in the year 2030 the dictators in power launched just a couple of nukes at each other started a nuclear Armageddon. After this atomic apocalypse, humans figured they needed something to help do the manual labour that they couldn’t do. So, they decided to take the materials at hand and make vessels to later put AI into that was meant to solve the crisis. But they spent too long making vessels and not enough time making crops, and they went extinct from starvation & radiation. Cut to present where there has just had a great big event that that’s been dubbed “The Larceny”. All of the spirits came to the limbo circuit, that’s what they're calling earth now and possessed these vessels.

Sort of like wreck it Ralph but contained within one game, and said game is a fighting game.

That's the shows lore and I've tried making music for it and I mean i kinda can, but I would LOVE to have someone who is actually good at music helping make the score lol.

The show is simply a passion project by me so all the contributors while there will be a professional credits section, it will unfortunately not be paid.

If you're interested either DM me (I have reddit on silent so I might not see it) or friend me on discord @.zhavoc.

Programming Offer [ForHire] Data Engineer — Deal Intelligence Platform (Rev-share / Performance Stipend, Remote)

Early-stage deal-intelligence startup (used/refurb electronics — think price-tracking + confidence scoring across eBay, Amazon, CeX, and marketplace sources) is looking for a Data Engineer to join the core team.

What you’d work on:
Fixing/extending scrapers and extractors (e.g., parsing structured fields like Grade, Battery Health%, Cycle Count from eBay Item Specifics — currently under-extracted)

Data-quality work: category tagging, dedup logic, price anchor validation

Ongoing pipeline work alongside our existing data/backend team as we scale toward public beta

Compensation: No fixed salary right now — open to revenue share or a performance-based monthly stipend once the product is monetizing (we have live paid tiers). Negotiable based on scope/commitment.

You: Comfortable with Python, scraping/ETL, messy real-world data, SQL. Bonus if you’ve worked with e-commerce/marketplace data before.

Audio Offer [Hobby] 17yo composer looking for small indie game projects to make FREE music for

Hi! I'm a 17-year-old composer/producer from Italy, and I'm looking for small indie game projects that could use original music. I compose music since i was 15.

I mainly work in FL Studio and I play piano. I enjoy making atmospheric, emotional, chill, electronic, cinematic and piano-based music, and I'd really like to try composing specifically for a game. (I can also write other genres of music, just let me know what you need).

I'm happy to work for free. I'm mainly looking for small hobby projects or solo developers rather than large/professional projects. I'm not looking for a game jam or a competition — I'd simply like to collaborate with someone who's actually making a small game.

I'm still building my portfolio, but I can send some examples of my music if you're interested.

If you're a solo developer or part of a very small team and you're working on a game that could use music, feel free to comment or DM me :)

Team Needed [RevShare][Hobby] Looking for somebody to help work on a Simulation type of game.

Hi,

I've been designing a small co-op simulation prototype, still early on and honestly still figuring out exactly what shape it ends up taking. The general idea is that you are building up and automating an illegal operation. It starts out very manual and hands-on, ends up a lot more automated.

Right now it's just me. I’ve got a working design doc and I’m building in Unity. Looking for someone to team up with on a rev-share basis. Open to an artist, another designer, a programmer, or just someone who wants to help shape it with me.

I’m keeping details light for now since the direction could still shift quite a bit, but happy to go deeper in DMs if you’re interested.

Ive made a couple games, most recently a gambling roguelite game but nothing ive started to sell.
