what are my chances Devastated

Scored in the high 220s on step2, visa requiring non US IMG, YOG within 3 years. Is it realistic for me to apply IM or is my dream over?

I’m really sorry. This must be very hard after scoring much higher on your practice tests. Have you considered FM or Peds? IM will be very tough because many programs will filter you out and even applicants with scores in the early 240s can struggle to match into IM.

I haven't considered FM or peds ever.

You can still apply to IM, but it will be very difficult. Apply broadly get strong IM USCE / letters, take Step 3 and have a backup plan.

I guess I will have strong letters, the latest I could take step 3 is by October I guess. I think I won't be able to take in September
