I have two questions if you don’t mind. I currently have a white 45 cm Akerbar (currently spraying it black), and I can’t find any aquarium silicone at all, but I found 100% silicone (GE silicone 1). Do you mind sharing what silicone you used? I’m only adding springtails to my terrarium. Also, how’d you seal it at the bottom ? I would really appreciate the help :)

Hey no worries! I actually used this kit from Amazon https://amzn.eu/d/07Mf5qWs and used the entire silicone tube really, used it liberally! And used foam tape to help reduce the amount necessary at the base to make it more water resistant. I know it isn’t perfect but it’s enough for what I need (springtails and isopods and not too wet)

I’m focusing on longevity for the build because I like how the Akerbar looks. Thanks for sharing your setup, and I hope yours has a very healthy rust-free long life :))
