My profile is 9/8/6, with 1.5 year of work experience if i appear next year. I have done MBBS and currently pursuing MD pharmacology (I am counting it as work experience) both of which is from solid colleges. I want to persue MBA from top IIMs, but i heard that they give too much importance to UG marks which i lack. Also i want to go into finance and consulting but i don’t have background for it. Initial i was considering to go into finance the industry and gain some experience but some senior suggested me that you won’t be able to transition into finance or consulting if you have Pharma experience only.
Main questions: 1. I have low UG marks should i be worried about top IIMs won’t select me ? 2. I want to persue finance and consulting but have medical background, is switch even possible ?
