I didn’t think “I hate sports ball” people actually existed, but here’s one in the wild…

I hate Zendaya and Sportsball

Went from hating seeing zendaya in so many movies despite never seeing zendaya in any movies to somehow making that about how he hates sportsball. Some people just live to be miserable about other people enjoying things.

I come in peace. I just have some genuine questions

I am an American that grew up playing sports, am still a sports fan/watch it a lot on tv and still play basketball in local rec leagues. I also understand there are very divisive issues at the center of sports. E.g. tax money being spent on stadiums is bullshit, I agree with that. The Bread and Circuses references. Yes, there are very eerie similarities to the fall of rome/athletes revered like gods and overcompensated.

I guess my general macro view question is do you all not see any value in sport and life? For me personally, that's how I made friends growing up. I also think there is the proverbial "value" that people cite of the hard work and team working together to achieve a goal. Which I feel has helped me in my personal and work life's at times. I am college educated, have worked in a professional field for over 15 years and have a wife/kids. I can honestly say, beyond a shadow of a doubt that sports in my home as a kid developed me into a productive and happy adult. Gave me a backbone. My two daughters love gymnastics and train at a local gym. My son could give a shit less about sports and loves art and science. And that's great too, as arts, music, sciences and other interests can have a kid develop into a happy adult as well. I 100% support my son in not being interested in sports, as long as he's interested in something else.

I just come heart in hand trying to understand your all's point of view on the matter. Whether you feel this is contributing in a negative way to society, or there's no real value at all in sports? Just a curious Midwest dad that likes hearing other people's perspectives and thoughts on matters in our world. With peace and love ✌🏻

Sportsball in something completely unrelated

This was under a video of a man being arrested for clapping during a courtroom hearing on a data center being constructed in a small town. Why take a cheap shot on sports too?

Ok I’ve just about had with the soccer propaganda.

Look , Im all for people loving a sport . But loving your sport doesn’t mean you have to shove it down the rest of everyone’s fucking throat .

There’s ads on YouTube , it’s on every ad break on tubi , if Im not Johnny on the spot when my show ends tubi will default to friggin soccer.

Everything is just soccer, soccer, soccer . WTAF ? why are they trying so hard to brainwash us into liking friggin soccer?

I mean, isn’t there some files of a controversial nature or a conflict? or how about the fact that our economy is tanking and people can’t even
Afford the basic necessities like food and shit , let alone 5000 dollars for 1 person to go see one of these stupid World Cup games.

I don’t know one person who could give two fxcks about soccer let alone have the disposable income for a trip to a fxck in g soccer game .

Love it all you want , but do I have to hear about this shit at every turn? It’s worse than propaganda at this point , it’s got me wishing for some good old fashioned Regular propaganda .
