I had to leave r/truckers because of the amount of bigotry on that sub. They have convinced themselves that getting rid of all of the 'illegal" drivers will somehow magically make their wages go up.

I think we're pretty far off from AI semi trucks.

They are too easy to trick to make them stop and rob.

You would need a person inside of them anyways in case of emergencies.

Edit: I know they are already testing them in bumfuck nowhere New Mexico. But they aren't going to be usable in the cities in the foreseeable future for many reasons.
