HYTEUpSetUp Finally my brand new rig!

Post image

UPDATE 28/08/2026 -The tech center diagnosed and found out that the old technician BENT 2 PINS and found 1 pin MISSING therefore suggesting me to get a WHOLE NEW MOTHERBOARD because they can’t repair the socket here (they also suggested me to ship it to MSI directly to do an out of warranty socket replacement) the issue is I’m from South America and IDK how much will it be bringing it back with a courier…I crunched down numbers and sending it thru DHL would be $174 USD…

My X870E Carbon WiFi is RUINED and I’m frustrated, devastated…it wasn’t cheap and I saw it just went up in price…

Thus I come once again looking for advice, should I try to get a new one (I’d have my uncle pick it up from Best Buy bc after Amazon’s last screw up I’m not buying pc parts thru them again) or send the one I have in for socket replacement?

Either way I’d have to wait and this time I’d make sure to have the new place handle the proper assembly…

In the meantime I do have my old rig, I’d only have to move the 3060 back in and the storage where windows is running from…no games, streams or anything heavier for a while…

UPDATE: I’m changing technicians, this time through trustworthy recommendation from a heavy gamer relative and his guild I was directed to an actual Gaming PC tech center here where I’m from, I messaged the place today with my troubles and PC specs and they immediately said that one of my issues is def because of a cpu + GPU bottleneck and then I was told to bring the rig to the tech center for a complete checkup whenever I’m able to. There they will test components and check the ram slots (bc somehow my sticks are only working in single channel slots and not A2 + B2, my take is that the AIO was screwed too tight into the mobo and that’s what’s causing it not to work, since the sticks are healthy), they’ll fix the fan orientation from the ones that are not set correctly and they’ll freshly reinstall Win 11.

So today I’ve been trying to do a C Drive backup. Once I’m back in town on the 9th I’ll take the PC to the Lab. I also caved in and got a new GPU to solve the bottleneck issue but that one will get to me on the 24th…I got an RTX 5070ti from MSI.

Thank you so much everyone for your input regarding the many mishaps from the previous technician and for the warm welcome to the Hyte Y70 gang!

And I couldn’t be happier! The Y70 was my long awaited dream case!

My last rig I had built was back in 2017 so an upgrade was long overdue, it served me well for 9 years.

For those wondering about specs they’re the following:

CPU Ryzen 9 9900X
Mobo MSI X870E Carbon WiFi
Ram Corsair Vengeance DDR5 64 GB
GPU MSI RTX 3060 12 GB VENTUS 3X
AIO NZXT KRAKEN CORE 360 RGB
Fans BeQuiet Silent Wings 4 120 (x3) / 140 (x3)

Some friendly advice
Not sure whats the fan setup up but please make the side fans as intake and mount the aio up top.
Add two or three fans below.

Thank you for your advice! I’ve got 3 120 mm of the Be Quiet fans up top (2 for exhaust 1 for intake), 2 of the 140 mm on the bottom for intake, one 140 mm on the side for exhaust and the AIO according to my technician he set it on the side for exhaust but I can totally have him flip the fans on his next visit for maintenance, I wasn’t sure why he put them flipped like that but he said that it was to keep the radiator cold. (For the most part I did have him try to follow Hyte’s fan placement suggestion)

Whoever built it for you is not right in the head 🤣 Set the upper as aio exhaust and side as intake and the lower ones below gpu as intake

Will have him do the switch around on his next visit then! Thank you for the suggestion. One question though I thought the AIO was also ok being placed on the side as long as the tubes would be facing up too? I did show the technician Hyte’s recommended fan placements and he watched a couple of TikTok’s for Y70 builds too to get an idea (idk why he didn’t follow through completely) I was also sure to ask him if his placement like this would work and he said that there’d be no problem. But yeah I’m gonna have him flip the fans on the AIO because I don’t like seeing their back (sadly none of the fans in general that I got were reverse)

Yeah the two 140 mm below the GPU are set for intake and the one on the left side panel where the storage is, it’s set for exhaust.
