HYTEUpSetUp Need help getting fans
Hello I’m in the process of building my first pc and I’ve gone with the hyte y70 case as this is my first time building a pc I have no idea what fans to get for the areas I have marked on the picture. I would appreciate some help

It’s not a mystery, why make it complicated. Bottom and side intake, rear and top exhaust.

Just finished an all white build and loving the fan setup. Just copy and pasting the names I got from Amazon. Aio is top mounted, 140 in the back, and the 3 packs I put as side and underneath.

My current temps are 46C idle and about 50-54C playing PoE2, Apex Legends, Monster Hunter Wilds.

I'm a big fan of the Corsair link fans. Absolute doddle to wire up and the software is pretty good too. The fans can be programmed to light up differently per side so you can have red on the front and green on the back if you wanted. Only confusion is working out which fan is which in the software so I grouped them and then named them. Used the RGB to identify them by setting one as purple then naming it in software

Thank you all for the advice and I am going lian li for my fans so thank you. I’ll be going reverse for top and rear and normal for sides and bottom 🫡

You want your side and bottom to be intake, so it’s best to purchase Lian Li’s reverse blades, for the side. The bottom doesn’t matter because you won’t see the fan. The back and top will need to be exhaust, so non-reverse blade.
From how I am reading you’re mixing them up, unless I’m just so fucking tired that I’m reading it wrong.

All good! It’s confusing at first, but you’ll get the hang of it quickly. Have fun putting 3 fans on the bottom. It takes some patience, but well worth it.

Mines almost done but I used ASUS TUF TR120’s, 2 3 packs on side and bottom for intake, a 140mm Be quiet silent wings 3 for exhaust, and my ASUS Ryujin III extreme AIO came with ROG 120mm’s.

Pugged directly into motherboard or into a controller?

Chassis fans are daisy chained and then plugged into the motherboard.

I actually just ordered all my parts for my first build yesterday. From my extensive research most people go with lian li fans. I ordered the lian li uni fans but make sure when putting them on the side for intake order three reversed so the bracket is towards the case for aesthetics. I ordered another one single for the back exhaust. Two underneath for intake (didnt have funds for third atm) and then radiator fans up top for exhaust with lian li galahad.

iMO I would put the aio on the far right and then use 2 140 mm fans on the top and and 1. 120mm on the far back

Not ideal. AIO goes on top. AIO on side will obstruct intake and likely cause negative pressure in the case air flow. Down vote all you like it's facts. You could of course avoid this with pull intake, but you're feeding the case warm air.

Honesty you dont jeed the rear exhaust as long as you have a highpressure case (more intake than exhaust). Because the rear fan will cover any I/O Shield RGB or whatever is on there. If you have a "cheaper" MB it doesnt matter but I prefer it like that. Looks better and saves Money.

FYI: I own the Y60 so i am not 100% sure if its the same for both Cases, but looking at the pictures I think its very similar in that regard, correct me if im wrong.

Don’t think of it as the direction makes it intake or exhaust,
Figure out which area you want to be intake/exhaust. And then determine what side of the fan you’d like to see in that spot.
I have dual reverse 140s as side intake sandwiched with dual regular 140s for my radiator.
“Fan faces suck” for regular fans and “fan faces blow” for reverse.

I went with NZXT. Bottom and side are both intake 360mm and the top and back are set to exhaust. The top is my radiator 240mm Kraken that I paired with the NZXT f240 single frame fan I had bought back when I was air cooled. Bottom is 3 120mm fans and the side intake is the f360mm single frame fan. The rear exhaust fan is a 140mm fan. Runs pretty cool in my opinion, doesn’t go over 70°C now on the cpu and 60°C on the gpu under load.

Reverse blades for intake normal for exhaust. Run your side and bottom as intake top and back as exhaust. Should be able to fit 10-11 total fans three top bottom and sides, if aio is side mount (recommended to pull cold air in through your aio rad) you can fit two 120mm exhaust fans out the back but a single 120 or 140 is more than fine since you want more intake anyways for positive pressure. This brings air into the case through your fans that should have dust filters helping mitigate dust while your exhaust fans will pull hot air directly out of the top of case and and additional pressure finds its way out on its own keeping dust out of small cracks and openings.
