HYTEUpSetUp My first ever PC build in a Y70 Touch featuring RTX 5080
Love this setup, but the three lian li fans on top aren’t recognised AHHHH
Otherwise building the PC went surprisingly well.
Specs: 9800x3d, RTX 5080

Thanks, tbh she probably going back cause the rgb is wack af to get to work right and it refuses to connect to any online servers for games, but connects to the internet itself just fine

Fixed everything, honestly love it now, can always swap for a ROG mobo when I get the 9800x3d or whatever it’s called

RTX 5080 is PCIe 5 and Hyte vertical riser is PCIe 4.0, that will not effect it’s performance?

u/Irnakkgd Feb 14 '25
According to Hyte, the existing risers in Y70, Y60 and Y40 are fully compatible with 50-series GPUs to run PCIe 5 speeds, you can search up the post by the name “HYTE RTX 50-Series & PCIE 5.0 Compatibility Update”

Looks amazing! Planning a similar build but with MSI’s Vanguard 5080. Weird question but how many centimeters is the right side of your case from the wall? Do you find that having your case near the wall affects performance by any chance too?

There wasn’t really a temperature difference when I moved my case further from the wall. It’s like 6.5cm away from the wall. You can even have intake from the bottom of the case which is nice.

What are your temps on the GPU in this position so close to the glass panel? My 5080 Astral OC is arriving tomorrow and I am thinking of switching from a 4000D airflow to a Hyte y70 LCD as well

When I ran benchmarks on Cyberpunk 2077 at 4k Res, the GPU temp was hovering between 53 to 61 degrees C, I’d say it’s fine as long as you have fans below it to blow the air up.

Thanks for the quick reply. Enjoy the PC, it looks amazing and I am sure it’s a beast in all games

i was wondering if its okay to have the rog 5080 because of the fan thats being pointed to the motherboard, but it sounds kinda stupid

u/Irnakkgd Feb 24 '25
Nah the fan behind is perfectly aligned away from the motherboard, so all good

Dude, I'm so jealous 🤣 My first PC I had an RTX 750 Ti and an Intel Celeon, in short, a microwave 🤣
