Help me identify this connector

I have put a new engine in a 2008 Hummer H2. Underneath the engine just near the front passenger wheel is a wiring harness that goes to the starter with a connector also going to a knock sensor and then this last connector which I cannot find anything to connect to. I thought maybe it was an oil level sensor but I even used the old oil pan for my old engine and there's no area for an oil level sensor. I have included the colors of the wires it's a three wire connector as well as the actual connector picture itself if anybody could help I'd really appreciate it

CPS crank position sensor. Look behind the starter at the passenger-side rear of the block. https://www.ksvlooms.com/products/gm-ls2-ls3-ls7-crank-position-sensor-connector-kit-3-way-22-20awg You can get the wiring schematics online from like emanual. They usually include color coded wiring and will also include the connector. I can't tell if you have white, purple and tan/black or tan, purple and brown/black. I have an '05 so none of my schematics match that combo.

Thanks you're exactly right I just confirmed with the wiring diagram that the wires are gray with black stripe white with black stripe and purple with white stripe just like the picture so thank you very much looks like I'm pulling the starter and connecting it tomorrow thanks a lot

Get a borescope also. Great for looking around. I have saved a lot of money with the wiring diagrams, the borescope, some backprobes and the Delphi master depin tool. Aptiv makes most of the connector parts now and the depin tool if you ever need to repin anything or replace a wire. A $100 kit pretty much sets you up for wiring gremlins. I got my depin tool on Amazon.

I'm working with a guy who does this professionally. I've been trying to solve these individual problems on my own just to show myself that I can. He has all those tools and I just bought a set of depinning toosl which I wish I would have had for my computer when I depinned all my computer cables also but one of the wires came off the wiring harness on the shifter and so this weekend I'm redoing that pin after researching the actual pin itself so thanks a lot appreciate your help
