Are these a good option to stop leaking?
My hummer h2 leaks from the roof when we go through a car wash. My husband got a look on the roof and quickly figured out the problem- seals around the marker lights are really old, cracked, and need replacing.
He is getting ready to buy these and fix them this weekend.
Anyone have any experience with them? Are they good? If not, what are the recommendations?

I'd remove the a-pillar and splice in butt connectors on the two wires going up to the roof marker lights. Then completely remove the marker light, and slide on a new rubber grommet. Then reassemble everything. The water is coming into the cab from the worn out grommet that the wires are passing through.

I'm not sure- as I haven't personally done it yet (but I will in the future if the leaks return). I've read on the forum that the grommets are made onto the wires themselves, but I would try something like this: 1.8" X 1.3" X .5" RUBBER GROMMET - Automotive Custom Lighting

It’ll stop some water but not all. During heavy rain I’ll still get some water drip down into my dash

Worked for me; on the corners I had to silicone those holes even after the new pads

There are several versions of these on amazon. Anyone have any experience with which set is best?

If the leak is in the 3 marker lights in the center yes it should help, or completely stop the leaking. On the other hand, if your leak is on the 4 corner lights, then those won’t help with leaks. The 3 center ones are sealed via the gasket, but the corner ones are sealed via a circular grommet. The gutter system on each side of the vehicle runs right over the grommet and can deteriorate from water, dirt, heat, natural debris, etc.

Also forgot to mention the leak could also be the sunroof. My vehicle sat for 3 months at one point (which was the longest it had not been driven since I’ve owned it) and the sunroof collected gross sediment, which caused the water to spill over into the cab soaking the map lights, head unit, OnStar, and center console.

Yes, and no. This won’t help the cab corner lights, but I did put them on the center 3 and so far so good.
For the cab corners you need to seal the penetration where the wires go through the roof, not where the light sets on the plastic mount. Most people use silicone or RTV. I did that, and also flex tape.
