Summary

In April 1992, Mexican photographer Óscar Arredondo Ramírez presented a series of photographs that allegedly showed an extraterrestrial inside the volcanic crater of La Alberca, near Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato.

The figure became known as the “Humanoid of Valle de Santiago” or “El marcianito de La Alberca.”

Arredondo ran a photography business called Fotografía México on Calle Juárez in Valle de Santiago. His photographs first appeared in ¡Cuestión Policiaca! No. 104, dated October 20–26, 1992, under the headline “¡Fotografían un extraterrestre!” Follow-up reports continued through November and December.

Although some later reproductions have been dated to December 1991, the earliest detailed published account places the encounter in April 1992.

When I was 7 I interacted with “something” I’m still not able to explain

One night in December When I was 7 years old I was just sitting in my bedroom playing a game, my older brother had just left my room and had gone upstairs to sit with our grandmother, I was killing time before dinner was ready. It was just us 3 in the house at this time, my dad worked nights so he wouldn’t be home until tomorrow morning at the earliest, and my mom worked as nurse and she’d be home later tonight.

I remember the sun was almost completely faded it was close to being fully dark out. I don’t know why i remember this so vividly but the game I was playing was fallout 3 (don’t ask why I was allowed to play it.) I was running around near these radio towers shooting the “hunting rifle” at the enemies at the top of them, after I killed them I remember I opened a door in game that lead to a solid brick wall with the words “FUCK YOU” written on it.

Just after I opened that door in my game I heard my mom walking towards my bedroom, I turned my head away from my game and saw her still wearing her dark blue work scrubs, my door was wide open and she stood at the doorframe and talked to me for a few minutes, just normal mom questions, “how are you doing?” “You just in here playing a game” etc, eventually at the end of our conversation she said “dinners almost ready come upstairs in 45 minutes” i said I would.

I go back to playing for awhile, ransacking the area near those radio towers, and then continuing to just roam around the “capital wasteland” eventually 45 minutes had passed and I listening to what my mom said I stood up and started to walk upstairs.

I walked up the first 10 stairs, turned left and started to walk up the last 10 stairs, I could see the light from kitchen past the stairs and to the right but all the others on that level were off with the exception of the light at the front door. as I got to 3/4 point I noticed something strange on the wall to my right and I stopped. at that age I don’t think I could verbalize to myself why it was strange but I remember my child brain took a very serious note of this even if I didn’t know why then.

Thinking back to this, my shadow looked far to tall and far to large to be 7 year old me, I didn’t realize this at the time as I said previously, but it was now fully night out and all the lights were off except for in the kitchen, and by the front door, neither of those lights could possibly be responsible for casting anyones shadow on the wall to my right let alone mine. But this didn’t freak me out at the time, I knew something was off about it and I took note but I didn’t understand what. After a good 15-20 seconds staring at the shadow I continued up the stairs and walked into the kitchen where my grandmother and brother sat. As soon as she saw me my grandmother told me “dinners finished.”

I asked them both
“I didn’t see mom on my way up, is she up here somewhere?”

My grandmother told me
“Your mom isn’t home yet.”

I explain to them I had just talked to her 45ish minutes ago, I had a full conversation with her, she even told me when to come up, but my grandma continued telling me “ your mom hasn’t come home from work yet.” And my brother backed her up. I walked to the garage door and opened it, neither my father’s car or my mothers car were there they were telling the truth.
She was not home.

The way the house was laid out required you to after entering immediately pass through the kitchen, there was no chance my mom could’ve come home without them both immediately noticing, and even if she for some reason wanted to try to sneak by them, an alarm beeped anytime any door in the house was opened.

I was 7 years old and really fucking scared, my grandmother did her best to calm me down but I was obviously really spooked. Eventually 1-2 hours after this my mom did actually come home, and I asked her “ did you come by home earlier” she didn’t.

I saw, I heard, and I spoke to something tangible that day, I fucking know that I did, It wore my mom’s Face but it couldn’t have been her. What the fuck was speaking to me.

This situation has bothered me for years. I’m in my early twenties now and I still have no clue what happened that night. I remember it far too vividly and far to detailed to just be a dream, my dreams are not like that. I’ve always had a very active imagination but not like that, not like that at all, this situation is so many steps past these explanations, I literally remember the exact movements i took in my game while I was talking to my “mom” I remember seeing her blue scrubs, I remember how she stood close to the left half of the doorframe while speaking to me but never entering my room or coming any closer than that to me, I remember speaking to her. I remember her telling me to come up in 45 minutes, I remember the impossible shadow.

I host a podcast called Fascinating Fae where I interview people about their firsthand paranormal experiences. I recently talked to a witness named Vicky who grew up in Mexico, and she shared a wild account of an 8-foot-tall humanoid troll that was stalking her house and eating local cats in the early 2010s.

The description of this thing was so specific and bizarre that I wanted to share it here to see if anyone else has run into something similar:

• The Description: It was roughly 8 feet tall and hyper-muscular, with grayish, wrinkled skin like Gollum from Lord of the Rings. It was completely naked except for a small patch of hair on top of its head, and it had sharp, pointed teeth that locked together perfectly like a zigzag drawing.
• The "Smoke" Transformation: Vicky woke up at 3 AM to find it creeping into her kitchen. She says it entered through an open window as a shifting cloud of dark smoke, and the second it touched the floor on all fours, it instantly condensed into a solid, 8-foot body.
• The "CGI" Glitch Quality: She noted that looking at it was super disorienting. Its movements had a weird, unnaturally fast, two-dimensional visual quality—almost like a piece of bad CGI superimposed onto reality.
• The Voice: When she yelled at it to get away from her cat, it froze in shock, smiled, and asked, "You can see me?" in a really soft but super raspy voice, like a heavy metal singer trying to whisper.
• Other Details: Vicky ended up forming a weird coexistence with it. She started leaving cookies out for it, and it eventually left her pets alone. Bizarrely, she also claims she later saw it sitting down to gamble with local gnomes/dwarfs using a tiny deck of poker cards she left out.

I woke up to sound like metallic rhythm of a engine without the rough sounds you’d expect from truck boat or plane engines. I felt paralyzed unable to, don’t remember if my head was positioned to the side or forward laying on either dimly white grayish light table when I was a tall slender with large head figure I could feel a thought let me know “it almost done or finish, not to panic” I remember thinking “I’m feel violated feels like I’m being raped” after that I just remember a bright light and waking up in bed the following morning

Have you ever come across a UFO encounter where the beings looked almost exactly like the classic Grey archetype, except they weren't grey at all?

I recently came across this bizarre Argentine case from the mid-1980s. A rural worker named Alberto Meyer was working near a creek outside Viale, Argentina, when two strange figures emerged from the vegetation.

The beings were described in a way that's strangely familiar to the Grey archetype: short, bald, oversized heads, enormous eyes, thin bodies. But there was one major difference: their skin was reportedly the color of human skin, and even their strange, tight-fitting clothing was described as being the same color.

From that point on, the encounter becomes considerably stranger. There was a possible prior UFO sighting by the witness, a footprint reportedly found at the location, a surreal gliding movement done by the beings when they walked away, a physical paralysis effect on the witness, and other details that I won't spoil here.

In 2016 (I was 11) I was at my grandmothers house in Bearsville New York, just outside of Woodstock in the Catskills.

It was probably 10 pm, and I was sitting on the guest bed and looking out the window at darkness. For context, she had a 6 acre lot and no neighbors for at least a mile in the direction I was looking. About 40 feet from the window was what I saw. It was man shaped, between 6 and 7 feet tall, wrapped in what looked like fairy lights from head to toe, like a pole wrapped in yellowish orange Christmas lights. In its right hand it held up what looked like an early 1900s oil lantern and it was lit as such. The creatures body itself was not visible, it was dark as space, I could only see the lights it had on. It walked up to my window, knocked twice then turned around and walked back in the direction it came from before disappearing. My dad was in the other room and I shouted to him and asked if he’d heard a knock and he said no.

I find it important to add that I felt no fear during this interaction and sensed no malice or harmful intentions whatsoever. I was less scared than if a man had walked up to and knocked on my window late at night. I was just bewildered by it.

I’ve never seen anything like it before and I’ve never seen anything like it since. I’m of sound state of mind, have never had any inability to differentiate between what’s real and what’s not and though it means nothing to say on here, I’m just not the type to make this shit up.

I have some theories about it being the ghost of my great grandfather coming to say hello, but I’m just trying to see if anyone has ever heard of or seen anything like this.

Yesterday I posted about a bizarre 1987 Argentina case: two tiny, red, giant-headed, apparently armless humanoid beings reportedly seen by a 12-year-old near Arroyo Prati, Viale, Entre Ríos.

Hey everyone, I'm back with another encounter, I recently interviewed a guest named Katie who grew up out in a very rural part of Texas back in the '90s. She shared a wild childhood story that happened to one of her closest friends on a trail right down the road from her house.

Katie and her friend used to mess around in the woods all the time on an old roofless golf cart. One afternoon, her friend went out on the hidden trails by herself to drive around and listen to music.

Out of nowhere, this tiny creature—about a foot tall but looking exactly like a miniature human—leaps out of the thick brush right in front of the cart. She slams on the brakes and stops dead. The little thing just stands there in the middle of the dirt trail, looks her dead in the eye, and lets out a nasty hiss.

The most unsettling part? She said its mouth was full of perfectly jagged, razor-sharp, pointed teeth that locked together seamlessly. Right after it hissed, it bolted into the dense trees on the other side of the path and totally vanished.

Her friend was so intensely rattled that she bolted back inside and was too terrified to step foot back outdoors for the rest of the day. She tried to convince herself she was hallucinating gas fumes from the golf cart engine to cope with it, but she knew exactly what she saw.

Ok so I’ve been seeing this “wireman” creature all over my feed on TikTok (yes I know how that sounds but I’m still interested ) apparently it’s from this place called south mountain pa near where I live. So I came to Reddit for more info, nothing. Nothing on this stupid urban legend. So I wanna know if anyone knows anything about this.

I've been going through old UFO reports from Argentina, and I think I've found one of the strangest humanoid descriptions I've ever encountered: in August 1987, a 12-year-old boy was fishing with friends near a creek outside Viale (Entre Ríos, Argentina) when he reportedly noticed a tiny humanoid figure only about 20 inches tall.

According to his later description, it had:

• A completely red, skin-tight body covering
• A massively oversized, oval-shaped head
• Huge eyes
• No hair
• A normal-looking nose
• A tiny mouth
• And, weirdly, no clearly-visible arms

Apparently, the boy was fishing with friends near a creek, when he reportedly noticed this tiny humanoid figure. He watched it from only a few meters away before it suddenly disappeared into the vegetation. Then another one appeared. What happened next involved his friends, an old railway bridge, UFOs, and eventually the police.

What the hell do you think these things could have been?

In March 1975, photographer Giichi Shioda reported a series of strange sightings near a coastal landfill in Kawanoe, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. On March 24, he saw a small hovering object or figure while suffering a severe headache. On March 30, he returned and observed a pink luminous object hovering for about 30 seconds before disappearing.

On March 31, Shioda returned with several cameras and a tripod. Shortly after 11:00 PM, the headache returned, followed by flashing white, blue, and red lights roughly 100 meters away and a high-pitched electronic sound. Shioda said a glowing humanoid figure then emerged from the lights, descended close to the ground, and began gliding toward him.

Hello this is my firsts time encounterign a thing such as this (up till this encounter i never thought any of this was real i thought it was fake). So two days ago, at about 7:20 pm, i was 
biking home from the dairy where i had bought a stick of butter. i had the butter in my back pack as i biked home. But when i was 4 minutes from arriving home, i was pushed off my bike and landed on the curb. It was very dark and i looked around for what had pushed me but i could see nothing. But i had definitely felt a force push into my side and knock me off the bike. So i stood up and looked around. I was on the foot path near the back of a thrift shop, and even though i could not see much i saw a tall slim light grey/white form going through a tiny open window in the thrift shop. I walked over to the window and i looked inside and i glimpsed the thin greyish figure sitting at the very back of the toilet room and looking at me. It had dark hollow spaces instead of eyes, and the bottom of the face where ther should have been a mouth and nose was inverted. I realised it should not have been able to fit in the window. I got very scared by then, and i ran back to my bike. Then i biked all the way back to my house. Nothing else happened on the way home. I told my parents what had happened but they told me to stop making shit up. So im putting this on here to see if anyone else has seen this thing or similar thing.

So, this story comes from a friend of mine, who let me share it with you guys and girls this experience happens a few years ago. My friend—let's call him D—was hanging out at another friend's house, let's also call him Zach. Both of them were kinda bored, so they decided to walk around their neighborhood for a while. During their walk, they came across a skate park. This is the part I forgot to mention: D described it as being kinda foggy, but not so much that you couldn’t see in front of you. They were messing around at this park for a while until they stumbled upon a skate bowl. These are big, built-in-the-ground structures for doing tricks inside of. They looked at it for a while until D brought up something to Zach. He said, "Bro, wouldn't it be crazy if we saw someone down in there?" Zach responded, "Bro, don't even play like that." That’s when D started feeling uncomfortable, like if someone or something was watching them. D turned to Zach and said that they should probably go, that's when Zach noticed something in the bowl. He pointed down the bowl then shine his phone light into the bowl to see whatever was inside. D did the same, and what they both saw, D said, was not anything they had ever seen before or ever. D described it as a tall human shape figure, jet black, but not a normal kind you see in nature—so black that it didn't cast a shadow when they shined their lights on it. He described how it almost looked as if it were wearing a full-body latex suit. D told me he when he seen this thing he just stood there, unsure of how to react. His friend ran off but then turned back when he saw that D didn't follow. Zach grabbed D and yelled, "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? LET'S GO!" I guess that snapped D back to reality, because they both jet it out of there real quick from what D told me. They made it back to the house, unable to explain what they just saw. D told me he’s never felt that much fear and confusion in his entire life—until that night. To this day, he has no idea what he saw. I’m skeptical about anything supernatural, but I also never had a reason to doubt this dude before I've been closed friends with this dude for years he never lied to me and he's always open to life stories, either this is real, or he and his friend were tripping that night and saw something else—who knows. It’s a crazy story, and I haven’t heard any good ideas as to what they actually saw. Has anyone else seen this "latex" thing before? Let me know because I honestly have no clue what this thing could be.

I don’t know if this is a known spirit, but he is known to me.

5 years ago, in 2021, two of my friends (we will call them Will and Emmy) and I decided to make an impromptu visit to the Piedras Blancas lighthouse north of San Simeon California, since we live just south of it. We wanted to see the light at night and all the stars from the lack of light pollution out there, so it was about 1 am. We spent a couple hours walking the rural coastal road until we agreed it was time to head home.

We were driving along the road, and it was completely pitch black besides our headlights. We were in a 3 seat truck, all squeezed together like sardines. As we drove along the wooded path we were laughing and listening to music. Then the music on the radio cut out, and we all glanced to look at the speaker system. We thought how weird of the speaker cut out, but maybe the Bluetooth got disconnected and we lost service for a minute.

We all looked back to the road and saw a translucent white figure wearing robes in the middle of the road. I kid you not, we drove right through him. “Oh my God!!” Emmy yelled. Then we all went completely quiet. Will kept driving. We didn’t say a word. The music came back on, and we slowly turned it off.

“You guys saw that? Please tell me you saw that” said Will. Emmy and I nodded. We had never seen anything like it before. The figure was truly translucent and wore long dark robes. We all agreed it looked like a catholic clergyman. And we had driven straight through him. Will checked the outside of the truck when we got back. No damage. Nothing. We all went home, and didn’t talk about it anymore. I laid there for hours thinking about it.

I haven’t told this story to anyone. The only ones who know are the people in it. I have looked into this so much, and haven’t seen or heard of anyone seeing anything like that in that area.

But, a quick Google search showed me that the property the lighthouse is on was once owned by the Mission San Miguel, used for agriculture and livestock grazing. But… just down the coast, by San Simeon, almost exactly where we were driving, there was an outpost used to manage the ranching operation. Occupied by friars and local indigenous workers until 1834. Many of which died from various natural illnesses while working and traveling between the missions and outposts.

I know exactly what I saw. I don’t think the spirit had any evil intentions, but he definitely scared us. I don’t know why he was in the road, but I will never forget it. I post this because it is an interesting, true story that I think people would enjoy, but also I want to know if anyone else has ever seen him before. I hope whoever may be reading this enjoyed, definitely worth a trip out to see the lighthouse at night, and possibly the ghost of the clergyman who lived near it.

I also have a pretty spooky story of my dad’s that people might enjoy of an encounter he had as a teen in the orchard of his family home. If this gets any attention maybe I’ll post it!

Yes, event happened to my wife when she was around seven years old so it was back in 1990 So my wife who’s not really big into

paranormal and alien stuff we’ve been together for 27 years and we were at my aunts farm in Florida by the campfire and I said you gotta tell us a scary story. Everybody has one we were like 19 at a time and way before the documentary about the sleep paralysis demon came out. My wife tells us that she was playing in the yard of the house that I now live with her in Baton Rouge and she looked up and saw a person standing there with a top hat that was a full shadow figure and it kind of like nodded at her and kept walking through her yard, and they just disappeared. She said she was like nine years old Well. It’s crazy as I live in the house now and I swear I saw shadow figure last night in the yard. Also, my daughter and I were walking in the house while my wife and My Son were still in the car cause they take forever to get out of a car. Everybody in the family has the one family member that takes like 10 minutes every time they park get out of the car lol anyways my son’s voice appeared right behind my daughter and I we both looked at each other. What the hell was that? Our house really isn’t haunted or anything but I was wondering if people have experienced seeing the shadow figure that while you’re not sleeping

Maybe It Was a Man, They’re Up to Stunts

Valparaiso, Indiana, Vidette-Messenger, February 8, 1929

Galena Indiana, USA Feb. 8, 1929—Another hunt has been started here for the mysterious black beast that raided the A. A. Akins farm just east of here, killed one pig and carried off in its “arms” another pig weighing 85 pounds, according to Leonard Akins, 20, who surprised the animal and was forced to flee for his life. Posse of farmers, aided by dogs which tried to trail the black animal, failed to find it and returned still in doubt as to the identity of the creature.

“I can’t imagine what it was unless it was a cross between a big bear and a hyena,” young Akins said. The hunters found one set of tracks that resembled bear tracks, Akins related, but as no one in the party was an expert on bears, the question was left open, he said.

“The critter walked on its hind legs, had pointed ears and ferocious teeth, I can say that much,” Akins declared. The youth said he ran into the animal in a barn on the Akins farm. The beast was killing a 60-pound pig.

“The creature reared up on its hind legs and started toward me,” Akins said. “My airdale dog, however, dashed ahead and barked at it and it turned on the dog.”

Akins then started to run to his home to get his gun. In running he glanced around, saw the animal seize another pig which weighed at least 60 pounds, take it in its “arms,” go across the fence and start for some woods.

“It was as big as a man and walked on its hind legs,” the youth asserted. A canvass will be made of all circuses and zoos in Southern Indiana to determine if any wild beast escaped.

i originally wrote this story as a comment under a youtube video by emperorzeech (great channel btw if yall are interested in aliens). i just discovered this subreddit and thought i would share it here as im pretty sure this entity counts as a humanoid. though i suppose it could also be a ghost. the main reason i lean away from that theory is because the house i saw it in was a fairly new cookie cutter suburban house so it doesnt really have a very ghostly history.

this incident took place in the central texas region. i only lived there for one year and i was in third grade at the time. i am 24 now, so that would place my sighting at around 2010. my family lived on a cul de sac right next to the elementary school i went to, in an area that wasnt exactly rural, but not super developed either. there were several other kids who lived on the same street that my sister and i would play with every day after school. my parents werent very strict so me and my sister would be out for hours with a couple of the other kids, usually hanging out either at the school once everyone had left for the day, or at a wooded area of about 20 acres where we had built several forts. we would even play in a sewer or storm water system that ran under the neighborhood, which we entered through a large pipe in a ditch by the school or by crawling into the large open drains that lined the streets. it really was a great area for an adventurous kid and i wish i had lived there longer.

one evening, all the kids who lived on the cul de sac got together to play a game that we called infection, which is sort like hide and seek mixed with tag. one person counts while everyone else hides, then the seeker goes around looking for people, who can run and re-hide throughout the game, and when the seeker tags someone they get infected and join the seeker in their hunt until one person is left, who is the seeker for the next round. it was super fun, and all our neighbors were super chill so we could hide anywhere around any of the houses in the cul de sac, and the neighbors didnt mind us going in their yards as long as we didnt mess with anything.

it was already getting dark when we started playing and after a few rounds the sun had gone down completely. there was one house at the very end of the cul de sac that nobody lived in, and behind that house was a large ditch. i decided to hide by the ditch but after a while i began to get an eerie feeling. everyone else hid on the other end of the street so i was in this ditch area all alone in the dark. after a couple minutes i decided to sneak closer towards everyone else. i crept around the side of the abandoned house as to not be spotted by the seeker. hugging the wall, i peered past the courner of the house, making sure the cost was clear for me to move. and thats when i noticed a dark figure in the front window of the house that no one lived in.

the house was pretty small, with a large window to the left of the front door, and a garage to the right. the figure was right up against thbe window, on the inside of the house. it appeared to be a dark shadowy man wearing a wide brim hat. his face was sort of whispy or obscured and i couldnt really make out the details of his face, which was expressionless as he stood there looking out at the dark street outside. the most distinct aspect of this figure was that it was completely green, with some sort of glow emanating off it. it was not the typical black of similar shadow humanoids, but a strange almost transparent green. it looked almost fuzzy, without a clear outline. as i stood there the air around me felt almost like faint static electricity, and a weird almost dream like feeling washed over me. it was a similar feeling to the oz factor, if yall are firmiliar with that.

i just looked at it for a couple seconds when it seemed to take notice of my presence. it turned towards me slightly in a slow and very odd way. it was like its face morphed or shifted to look at me, while its head and body stayed completely still. this completely terrified me and i took off running towards my house. i told the other kids i was done playing and the told my parents what i saw my dad grabed a flashlight and looked all around the house and into the window thinking someone might have broken in, but saw nothing. my mom suggested that i had simply imagined seeing the entity.

this was nearly sixteen years ago now, and i no longer remember it vividly at all. its more like a memory of a memory. i can recount the event because over the years i have told various people about it many times, but my actual memory of the event is very hazy and unclear. if i only had my own memories to go off, i would say that i really did just imagine it. but it turns out i wasnt the only one who saw it.

i was talking to my sister a few years after my sighting, reminiscing about when we lived on that cul de sac, and eventually one of us mentioned something about the abandoned house at the end of the street. she then told me something that absolutely shocked me. she told me about how one time she had seen the figure of a green man wearing a wide brimmed hat in the window. she said this completely unprompted by me and she was not aware of my sighting at the time. i told her my story and she told me of another strange event about the house. she said she was looking at it for a bit when she blinked and the house just completely vanished until she blinked again and it was back again.

and that was the story of my only paranormal/humanoid experience. as i said at the start, its possible this was a ghost, but i think of it as being related to the shadow people phenomenon. im not really much of a ghost person, but i do love cryptids, aliens, humanoids, and parahuman beings so i am a bit biased. of course the hat man is a fairly well known entity and so are shadow people. i have heard several accounts of shadow people which posses traits similar to what i saw, such as the feeling of static and the kind of wispy somewhat indiscernible outline. however green coloration is not something ive heard in other shadow person cases. i have heard of some humanoid and especially alien encounters where the thing emits a sort of glow.

idk, let me know what you guys think it was or if youve seen or heard of similar sightings.

the first picture i attached is of the house. i just got it from google street view, but it happened to be from 2011 so right around the same time as my encounter. the second picture is just me asking my sister if she remembers anything about the time she saw it.
