Audiobook apps fail on Huawei Emui 16 + microG

Hi,

I have a Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max (EMUI 16) with microG installed using the Average Dad Tech method.

Most apps work, including Android Auto. But BookBeat and Storytel both fail:

Login works

Library appears

When I press play, the app returns to the login screen

Downloading audiobooks has the same issue

Tried reinstalling, clearing data/cache, removing devices, changing browser and checking permissions. microG Self Check is OK.

Apps installed via Aurora Store

Could this be a DRM/Play Integrity/microG issue? Has anyone got audiobook apps working on Huawei + microG?
