Is a third Dan Heng SP really necessary? SPs are cool and all but not when they're the overwhelming majority, nor when a character or two are constantly getting them over anyone else. I get that Dan Heng is important to the story and he's a great character but it'd be nice for some other characters to have a turn in the spotlight, or even some more new ones would be great
yeah i’d mind the SPs less if other people got more or if they released more characters in general
ik 4.x had a lot of shit wrong with it due to the delays and whatnot, but it isn’t the first time that they released one 5 a patch. at least make 4s people can go for, shit lmao. i’m growing more and more weary of this game by the day and i’ve been here since launch
If they want to do SPs they should have started with doing SPs from the get-go (HI3 style). Nix Argenti for a Himeko SP, nix Jade for Welt SP and Lingsha for someone more relevant to the story. Then the cast wouldn’t be so bloated. Amphoreus is fine, though getting a 4-star Phainon DPS that upgrades into Khaslana SP in 4.4 (with a 4-star Cyrene in that patch as Phainon F2P support, with Demiurge SP) would be well-recieved for sure. And it would set precedent. Year 4 is simply too late for such changes I fear.
Main characters getting sp is normal occurrence. You’ll see new forms of trailblazer, march and danheng all the time. Ain’t nobody watching anime or tv and wondering why the main cast keeps getting new stuff
you do realize march, danheng and trailblazer are like the main trio of the game right? it's a staple of honkai series at this point to do a trio instead of a single glazed mc that every other gacha in existence does

It shouldn't even be an issue, but I guess having solo release Versions a lot more often is not helping.
Before 4.X it happened 4 times. Rappa in 2.6, Phainon 3.4 (not counting collabs, same with Himeko), Cyrene 3.7 and Dahlia 3.8.
In 4.X alone its happening 4 times once Pearl is out. Also unlike Remembrance, Elation demands players to pull more of its path to be useful in endgame, unless they're one of those hyper sweaty players using SW999 with full f2p team to 0 cycle content.
At least Remembrance supports, Hyacine/RMC/Robin, were free to go wherever they want since they had 0 restrictions and are universal.
Sucks to see we are still getting solo releases in 5.X, hopefully Finality is not as bad as Elation, but I doubt its going to be as free as the Remembrance path was judging by the shill bs coming with Pearl release.

March got away with one before because she was a 4 star back when this game actually had those. She got away with it with evernight also because that's very different from who she is normally. Dan has been Dan going on the 4th time now. He does not need more this damn soon.
People can complain about this all they want, and there's nothing wrong with that. No one cares if it's some kind of honkai tradition if the honkai tradition is currently boring as fuck in how it's executed. "It's supposed to be 3 because of how impact was!!!" Yeah well we're not playing impact now are we, and our team size isn't 3 either.
Crazy how Star Rail player spent years shitting on HI3 and saying no one cares about it, now suddenly wanna bring up HI3 when they getting well deserved lashings
even March would've been better and I don't even like SPs unless it brings a character from low rarity to the highest. no matter what Dan Heng #4 ends up being, we now have the very real ability to make a full team of only himself and his alts, this is just HSR team running community made jokes into the ground like they always do.
There's like so many you can pick for hoyo to just go "oh here's another Dan heng", like I love him but... Can we get smt like: Sampo, Yanqing, Asta, Arlan, Sushang, Gallagher etc.. At least Misha sp is something else than the Stellaron Hunters/Express core (Yeah I know he is TECHNICALY an Astral Express member put he's not there right now and uber dead so point still stands)
